Malibu club-Young Life Club Canada. Jervis inlet / Princess Louisa inlet time lapes
This video is a time laps taken over 7 hours from 7pm through to 2am ....from the shore Malibu club Young Life camp in Jervis inlet/ Princess Louisa inlet...BC Canada just down from the beautiful chatterbox falls. and up from the skookumchuck rapids on the sunshine coast.
this time lapse shows the sun setting and the northern star movement across the night sky. and the clouds rolling in.... also shows satellites crossing the sky...and a orange glow in the sky which can not been seen be the human eye... so it is a great place to go boatting, sailing and see the stars unlike you have ever see before away from the city lights. this time lapes was done with out a remote taking one shot a minurte over the time span... as things like iso setting need to be changed as you go from light to dark.
Enjoy!!!
Malibu Rapids, Princess Louisa Inlet BC
Approaching Malibu Rapids from the south, we arrive just as another 85ft vessel is outbound, so we hold station behind the sail boat until the way is clear. Arriving 45 minutes before slack ebb. The outflow was under 2 kts but had an earlier outflow of over 9 kts. (note how narrow the pass is at low tide & 17ft in places) We arrive at Chatterbox Falls just before low tide and drop anchor.
Queens Reach is a the last arm of the Jervis Inlet and is located within the Coast Mountain Range of British Columbia Canada. This arm was named during the 1860 survey by the HMS Plumber who charted all the of the area and was named after named after Queen Victoria of England.

Sailing to Princess Louisa Inlet 2016
Sailing from Sidney, British Columbia, through the Gulf Islands and across the Salish Sea to Pender Harbour on the Sunshine Coast. Then up Jervis Inlet to Princess Louisa Inlet for the fantastic scenery and sailing. The trip was undertaken in June of 2016 aboard Natasha, a 1978 Islander Bahama 30, with the owner, Bert Vermeer, and a sailing buddy, Paul LeBlanc. Paul joined me at Nanaimo and flew back out at Ladysmith. The video is a personal account of the trip.
Princess Louisa Inlet - British Columbia (trailer)
Princess Louisa Inlet is a remote place on the west coast of British Columbia, is a mere gap of six kilometres long and just a few hundred meters wide and may possibly be be one of the most beautiful places on earth. It can only be reached by boat or float plane at the tip of the long body of water called Jervis Inlet. In 1919 a young man named James MacDonald discovered, fell in love and filed for ownership of the lands surrounding the inlet, with Chatterbox Falls at it's head. In 1953 MacDonald transferred ownership of these land to the Princess Louisa International Society.
The sheer cliffs rise a mile high, straight from the water. All around is the thick rainforest; the trees are tall and their trunks are covered with greeny/blue moss. The forest glades are deeply shaded and one half expects gnomes, elves and fairies to arrear from around the trees. The tweeting and chattering of the birds are constant. It is a truly magical place, restful and tranquil. Everyone should be fortunate enough to see Princess Louisa Inlet, the Princess as MacDonald referred to it, at least once in their lives.

Princess Louisa Inlet, BC and Beyond
A guys week-long boat trip to Princess Louisa Inlet, BC Canada, catching Nanaimo, Egmont, Malibu Rapids, Powell River, and Gorge Harbour, Cortes Island along the way; July 5 to 12, 2015. Gorgeous fiord scenery and some very amateur skeet shooting to boot.
My very first video edit, so pretty rough, but a start. Lessons learned: Have a story board, at least in your mind, for a more complete result; turn off the stabilization setting which causes jerky pans; audio is much harder/more time consuming to edit than video; and quit saying Princess Louisa, and Chatter Box falls repeatedly ;-)
Enjoy the presentation, and positive comments/constructive input appreciated.
