Sibelius wrote a number of these miniatures and they are an absolute delight. Written between 1915 and 1919 the four little pieces show he was not just a master of the symphony. The smaller, more intimate form suits him well and paints an attractive picture of his domestic life. It's a nice thought to think of this as a musical poem for his incredibly devoted wife, Aino.

CHRISTCHURCH - MOUNT COOK - QUEENSTOWN - GLENORCHY - DUNEDIN
Features:
Timaru (/tɪməˈruː/, Maori: Te Tihi-o-Maru) is a major port in the southern Canterbury region of New Zealand, located 160 kilometres southwest of Christchurch and about 200 kilometres northeast of Dunedin on the eastern Pacific coast of the South Island.
Aoraki / Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand, reaching 3,724 metres (12,218 ft).[1] It lies in the Southern Alps, the mountain range which runs the length of the South Island. A popular tourist destination,[2] it is also a favourite challenge for mountain climbers. Aoraki / Mount Cook consists of three summits lying slightly south and east of the main divide, the Low Peak, Middle Peak and High Peak, with the Tasman Glacier to the east and the Hooker Glacier to the west.
Lake Tekapo is the second-largest of three roughly parallel lakes running north--south along the northern edge of the Mackenzie Basin in the South Island of New Zealand (the others are Lake Pukaki and Lake Ohau). It covers an area of 83 square kilometres (32 sq mi), and is at an altitude of 700 metres (2,300 ft) above sea level.
Church of the Good Shepherd:
Situated on the shores of Lake Tekapo is the Church of the Good Shepherd, which, in 1935, was the first church built in the Mackenzie Basin. The church at Burkes Pass, St Patrick's built in 1872 was the first church built by pioneers as a joint community effort, by Anglicans Presbyterian and Catholic settlers.
The church is arguably one of the most photographed in New Zealand, and features an altar window that frames stunning views of the lake and mountains
Queenstown (Māori: Tahuna) is a resort town in Otago in the south-west of New Zealand's South Island.
It is built around an inlet called Queenstown Bay on Lake Wakatipu, a long thin Z-shaped lake formed by glacial processes, and has spectacular views of nearby mountains such as The Remarkables, Cecil Peak, Walter Peak and just above the town; Ben Lomond and Queenstown Hill.
Glenorchy is a popular tourist spot, close to many tramping tracks. It lies near the borders of Mount Aspiring National Park and Fiordland National Park. The highly popular Routeburn Track can be accessed by passing through Glenorchy.
Dunedin (Listeni/dʌˈniːdɨn/ du-nee-dən; Māori: Ōtepoti) is the second-largest city in the South Island of New Zealand, and the principal city of the Otago Region

Queenstown gardens, Lake Wakatipu
It's our first day in Queenstown. We took a 1 hour and 40 minutes flight from Auckland to Queenstown.
After dropping off our luggage, we walked around the city centre, and the lake Wakatipu. We also visited Queenstown gardens.
The information about Queenstown gardens from the website
The Queenstown Gardens, located next to the town of Queenstown, New Zealand is a botanical garden which contains a variety of exotic and native trees and plants as well as a large pond and a range of facilities. Some of the facilities in the Garden include Tennis, Lawn Bowls, Skate Boarding, BMX Biking, Skating, Disc Golf and Ice Skating/Ice Hockey (See External Links).
There is a variety of trails in the garden with views of the surrounding mountains and of Lake Wakatipu and the Frankton Arm as well as Queenstown itself.
The information about Lake Wakatipu is from the website
Lake Wakatipu is the third largest lake in New Zealand and at 84 km long, it’s also the longest. Its name comes from Maori, Whakatipu wai-māori, which could mean “growing bay” or “bay of spirits”, depending on the translation of the historic Southern dialect.
The Z-shaped lake was carved out by a glacier more than 15,000 years ago during the last ice age. It’s a magical lake with its own ‘heartbeat’ – the lake rises and falls by about 20cm every 27 minutes. The best place to see this is at Bob’s Cove.
The phenomenon is a lake seiche, or ‘standing wave’. A combination of the mountains, which rise dramatically out of the lake, wind and atmospheric pressures causes the water to sway back and forth.
