In Ephesus, I came across the public restroom. It was a large place and obviously people didn't have a lot of privacy!

The Istanbul Card (Istanbulkart) is an smart card that can be used on ALL public transportation: tram, metro, ferries, bus and even at the public toilets in the Grand Bazaar! Mines, the informative and congenial owner of Hotellino, keeps a stash on hand for her guests so they don't have to schlep to major transit stops such as Eminonu, Sultanahmet, Beyazıt/Kapalı Çarşı (Grand Bazaar), Taksim Square to buy.
You pay 10 Turkish Lire for the card itself,then load Turkish Lire and reload (if necessary) any amount of money needed during your stay for transportation. It is a savings and makes life so easy. Just swipe over a turnstile which beeps, walk through and that's it.
More than one person can use the same card! Steve would go through first, and hand the card to me for use. If you are confused about using the machines, ask someone nearby to help which we needed to do. The machines will also tell how much money remains on the card - just follow the instructions in English.

This video is based on my experience at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Information shared in this video is based on - the best and cheapest way to go from Istanbul airport to city centre. I travelled via Istanbul Metro from Istanbul airport to Sultan Ahmet, a tourist hub in Istanbul. I have also shared inputs on sim card in Turkey. For eg, I have mentioned the cost of Turkcell and Vodafone sim available at the airport. Although there are many other sim card companies in Turkey which you will come to know in upcoming videos. What is the best way to get Turkish Lira at the airport! I used the HSBC atm at Istanbul airport to withdraw money. Though I got a poor exchange rate. After withdrawing the money I purchased a smartcard which is valid in all trams, metro, buses and even toilets in Istanbul, the name of this smartcard is IstanbulKart.
