Blethering Ben - 81 - A walk up Puck's Glen
Everyone loves waterfalls don't they? But Puck's Glen in Argyll, with more waterfalls than you can count, takes the experience to a whole new level. I was worried that this short walk, regularly cited as one of the finest short walks in Scotland wouldn't live up to the hype.......but this strange, sopping wet and very very green Victorian oddity more than delivers.
This video blog takes you the full distance of the glen from the bottom to the top, through the lower and then upper sections. Be warned though, the constant roar of rushing water might make you want to nip to the loo!

Blethering Ben - 65 - A knackered knee in Knapdale
Finally a new blog! Anyone who has been following this channel will probably be wondering where on earth I've been of late.....but the title says it all. I've spent much of 2015 trying to recover from a knee injury, and with some modest improvement at the tail end of the year I took said knackered knee over to Knapdale in Argyll. A truly amazing place, and here I give an overview of the area plus some insights into a very special National Nature Reserve at Taynish. It's good to be back!
Blethering Ben - 75 - Schiehallion on a bad day
Some days you win, and some days......you don't. And this one was firmly in the latter before I even set foot on the hill! Even my first snowy walk of the season struggled to lift my spirits on Schiehallion last month, as I made my second attempt in three months to get the view from the summit. Do you ever get the feeling a hill just doesn't like you?

Blethering Ben - 13 - I definitely feel like a polar bear
A few weeks ago I found a simple snow hole in Fife. Yesterday I went back and found that it had been considerably enlarged and now boasted proper beds!
What a great refuge for the night. As my friend states at the end, emerging into the light definitely makes you feel like a polar bear :)
