Awesome, been wanting to try these for a while now, Simon up in QLD had some beauties that he’d grown, he sent some down for us to have a go at, thanks mate
What’s it Like ?
How Hot is It ?
Thinnish skinned, and the flavour, initially I got a burst of Slight Sour, bitter, florally, fruity flavour, that forgot about as it got really hot , had a nice perfumey flavour once thought about it whilst was going off, still had that purfumey flavour happening after the break, so even though they are insanely hot, you still get flavour.
Hit the back of the tongue and top back palate fairly quick, then it started to build and really got the tongue and back of the throat going, kept building past the the hot coal stage, would hurt when you breathed or talked it was that hot, it hurt as swallowed saliva, violent, brutal yup Extremely hot and one of the hottest things that have ever tried
You can get the Carolina Reaper whilst available as well as all the other seeds in our Range of over 200 varieties from thehippyseedcompany.com
Thanks Ed for Creating them, Thanks Simon for sending them down, they were spectacular
Thanks Dingo for joining in and helping out, see ya soon for more exiting adventures of the chilli kind.
Hope You Enjoy
Be Excellent

ORIGINAL SC | Mad Scientist Smokin' Ed Currie
Smokin’ Ed Currie knows a little something about all things hot. He is, after all, the founder, president, mad scientist and chef at Puckerbutt Pepper Company. And that company is the World Record holder to the world’s hottest pepper, Smokin’ Ed’s Carolina Reaper.
Ed started his journey to the hottest pepper with one notion in mind. He didn’t want to die. He decided to start investigating the possible correlation between personal life style habits and disease. According to the PuckerButt Pepper Company website, “this overwhelming interest was born from his family’s history of early death from heart disease and cancer. Smokin’ Ed found that indigenous populations from around the world who eat hot peppers with meals have extremely small instances of these diseases, prompting his focus on peppers as a delicious and healthy food staple.”
