Louise finally learnt to ride a bike at the age of 27. We went to Yuli and our airbnb gave us free bikes, so we took the day teaching Louise to ride it on Yuli Bikeway. Its a great cycle path which was nice and flat. Perfect for beginners.

Best Bike Ride in Taiwan - HouFeng Taichung Bike Tunnel // GNGR ADVZ //
HouFeng Taichung Bike Tunnel was one of my absolute favorite things in Taiwan.
It was so quiet and peaceful, it was the perfect break from the busy city for this small town boy. It truly was the best bike ride we went on. If you go to Taiwan, you must at least do part of it by bike. They even have electrical bikes, to make it even better! Taichung as a city is a must see but this truly was the best bike ride in Houfeng. A must for this Gngr Advz.

Taiwan - Taitung County - Guanshan Town Encircling Bicycle Path
The Guanshan Town Encircling Bicycle Path was the first path in Taiwan to be built especially for cyclists. It is 12 kilometers long, and is divided into two sections, namely the Water Section and Mountain Section. The starting point at the Water Section encircles the water park, following the clear, shallow Guanshan Canal and Hongshih River. Along the way, one can see wide, extensive water paddies, which take on different appearances during different seasons. Depending on whichever season it happens to be, you can see the recently planted, soft, green rice seedlings, or waves of rice plants being blown by the wind, or rice plants that are full of grain hanging down, or a golden sea of rapeseed flowers. All these scenes allow one to experience the countryside scenery of Guanshan's four different seasons.

A get away holiday to Taiwan with a group of Singaporeans, who were colleagues working in the same company. Together, they traveled to many destinations and experience the food and excitement along the way. Known as a “Foggy Eden” far away from the city area in the mountains, Qingjing is great for those who enjoy fresh air, lush forests, acres of flowers along the plains and hillsides, and beautiful starry nights.
Qingjing is a favourite spot to interact with farm animals such as cows and sheep. Some animals that can be found on the farm include Corriedale lamb, Hereford cow, Aberdeen Angus cow, Barbado Sheep, Arab Horse, and ponies. A horse riding show and sheep-shearing show are available for visitors to enjoy as part of farm entry ticket. Pony rides are available during the day at the Qingjing Green Green Grasslands.
Throughout the day, the sun interacting with mist and fog within, around, and over the mountaintops produces some amazing weather effects. At dawn, the sun appears to rise from a sea of clouds. In the afternoon, fog and mist can sometimes roll over the mountains to cover the hillside. At dusk, pink clouds can be produced overhead, creating an amazing sunset panorama for visitors to enjoy.
Some fruits grown on the farm include kiwi, pears, plums, and peaches.
Officially opened on 20 February, 1961, the farm and grounds are managed by the Veterans Affairs Council of the Republic of China (國軍退除役官兵輔導委員會).
A day pass ticket is required for entry to the farm areas at Guanshan Pasture and Green Green Grasslands. Ticket prices are listed below.
For those staying in Taichung, consider reserving a tour including transportation from/back to a hotel in Taichung, tour guide, admission, lunch, and afternoon tea, as well as visits to the Chung Tai Chan Monastery, Aboriginal History Museum, Carp Lake, and Puli Brewery.
The best food can be found in the hawker market area between the Green Green Grasslands (north) and Guanshan Pasture (south) sections of the park. Other restaurants, such as authentic southwest-Chinese Yunnan-style cuisine, can be found along Trail #4.
The landscape and beauty of Qingjing Farm changes with each season.
