The Spotswood Pumping Station was the heart of Melbourne's first sewerage system and is now Museums Victoria's second largest collection object.

5.5 km only to Williamstown beach. After fed your brain with knowledge of nature, time to feed it with something relax. This spot is the best one to enjoy sunset
This museum is 10 km only from Melbourne CBD. Driving probably about 20 mins. Don’t rush to park your car. A lot of free parking space around here. You just need to walk 100-200 m. Also don’t forget to bring your own lunch, drinks and snacks.
If you follow my instructions and you come like me on the video (with 2 children), when you out from here you definitely smarter with happy children, and just spend only $15 for whole day.
They have Pumping Station at the backyard which you will find old steam engines under there. Also you will find 2 interesting things at outdoor backyard: huge sundial and 2 blue dish facing each other.
Please be notice, this museum is always changing the theme. Not sure every year or 6 months. At the moment’s theme is Air and Space.

Scienceworks makes learning about science and technology a fun, interactive adventure.
Located in Spotswood, five kilometres from the Melbourne Central Business District, the museum presents science and technology in unexpected and involving ways.
Hands-on participation is positively encouraged and visitors can take part in live demonstrations, shows, guided tours and special activities. There is also a programme of changing exhibitions.
Scienceworks is a great place to challenge curious minds and keep active bodies busy.

It dates from the 1930's (this is in the section puplic is not allowed in I got lucky (= haha)

LightTime is where science, art and laser technology meet to make a curious and interactive exhibition. We had a sneak preview and the day we visited the Laser Maze (in the Pumping Station) wasn't quite ready to see - I hear it's great fun, so be sure to check it out too!
