The Jagannath temple in Hyderabad is a modern temple built by Odiya community of the city of Hyderabad, dedicated to the Hindu God Jagannath. The temple located near Banjara hills , road no 12. This temple is famous for it's annual 'Rathyatra', attended by thousands of devotees. Jagannath means Lord of the universe. It was constructed during 2009.
This temple is a replica of original Jagannath temple of 'puri' (odisha) in context of design. The most attracting portion of this temple is it's shikara measuring around 70feet in height. The red colour of the temple is due to usage of sandstone, around 600 tonnes were brought it from odisha, which is being used to build this whole architecture.
There are shrines dedicated to Lakshmi, along with Shiva , Ganesh, Hanuman and Navagrahas. People who like calm and soothing environment will like this temple. A peaceful place in that busy environment. And one of the cleanest temple in Hyderabad. Mostly Odiya community people turn up here for different occasions like Rathayatra , Bahuda yatra and many more throughout the year.

Jagannath temple of Hyderabad is located in the heart of the city, in banjara hills, it is the replica of original Puri Jagannath temple of Orissa. The style of both the temple is similar but the size of both the temples are different. Jagannath Temple is a modern Hindu temple built by the Odia community dedicated to Hindu God Jagannath- God of the Universe. Shri Jagannath Temple | Banjara Hills | Hyderabad
Located at the heart of the city, in Banjara Hills, Jagannath Temple is the Hyderabad’s replica of the original Puri Jagannath Temple, which is located in Orissa. This temple has been built in same style of Puri temple. However, the size of both the temple differs.
Dedicated to the Lord Krishna who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the main temple houses statues of Lord Jagannath with his brothers - Balabhadra (Balarama) and Subhadra. There are five small temples as well, each dedicated to one God. On the left of the entrance, there is a small temple of Lord Ganesha. In front, there is statue of Lord Shiva. Other small temples house the statues of Goddess Bimala, an incarnation of Goddess Parvati; Goddess Laxmi and Shri Hanuman. On one side, there is shrine of Navgraha as well. There is a dedicated priest for each of the deities.
Built over an area of 3000 sq. yard, its construction was completed in the year of 2009. To build Puri Jagannath Temple Hyderabad, an approximate of 600 ton of sandstone was brought from Orissa. The temple has been carved intricately; which was done by a close to 60 artisans. While, the inner part of the sanctum sanctorum is made up of plain brick wall which is separated by pillars and three entrance gates which are made up of sandstone. As you enter through the innermost gate, you can see carvings of all the nine incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The idols of main deities are also carved out from wood, which was brought from Orissa, similar to that of Puri temple.
