Mamaia is a resort on the Romanian Black Sea shore and a district of Constanța.
Considered to be Romania's most popular resort, Mamaia is situated immediately north-east of Constanţa's city center. It has almost no full-time residents, being populated mostly during the summer.
Mamaia lies on a strip of land 8 km (5.0 mi) in length and only 300 m (328 yards) in width, between the Black Sea and Lake Siutghiol.
The beach season is at its best between mid June and early September, when average daytime temperatures range between 25 to 30 degrees Celsius (78 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit). The water stays warm until mid autumn.
Hotels range from mid-end to exclusive 4 and 5 stars hotels and private clubs. There are also camping sites in the north.

The spectacular show, featuring Mayor of Constanţa Radu Mazare Radu Mazare decked out in a tribal-looking costume, showcased 21 of the most beautiful girls in the Black Sea Region as they parade onto the runway in gorgeous white gowns with high center slits to receive their awards. FashionTV has taken a revolutionary step into combining technology and fashion for the online voting platform of the competition. Each contestant has been given a personal QR code allowing smartphone users to scan their codes and vote for them. Chosen as this year's Black Sea Model winner is Simona-Maria Mindila. This green-eyed beauty is from Constanta, Romania, and this year's FashionTV Summer Festival is the first time the young 15-year-old showed off her stuff on the runway.

Mamaia ha standard qualitativi altissimi sia nella qualità dei servizi che offre, sia nella sicurezza, tutti sono ospitali, è pensata per accogliere famiglie, ha delle bellezze naturali vicine uniche come il delta del danubio. le ragazze romene, è inutile nasconderlo quando sono belle, come dice il mio amico zac, ti sbattono per terra. Ma non pensate che sia facile rimorchiarle, chi viene a mamaia ha un reddito elevato,o elevatissimo, rispetto alla media nazionale romena e di gran lunga superiore al reddito medio di un cittadino italiano. Molte di queste ragazze vengono da Costanza, la seconda città della Romania, ed hanno poco interesse a sviluppare relazioni con un turista. Molte vengono in coppia, tutto cio non significa a priori che è esclusa una storia estiva con una ragazza romena, ma avviene come ovunque , e come cantava orietta berti, il campanello suonerà. Per il resto cioè la prostituzione, mi sembra stupido pensare di fare 1800 km per andare a puttane a mamaia.....A mamaia si fa raccolta differenziata, non si buttano le cicche per terra, non c'è un marciapiede o una strada rotta, non c'è un muro sporco. le macchine inchiodano se vedono un pedone sulle striscie, uno spacciatore di cocaina rischia 10 anni, che sconter... Visualizza altroà tutti. Le lingue commerciali l'inglese e l'italiano. L'Acqua costa più della birra, i romeni ricchi hanno un gusto tutto loro per il lusso, si comperano grandi macchine ie nemmeno a montecarlo vedrete sfilare una concentrazione cosi alta di ferrari, bmw, lamborghini, mercedes, aston martin porsche, etc. per il resto amano fare le stesse cose che sembrano piavcere anche agli italiani, in vacanza prendere il sole, leggere un libro, il gossip del signorini romeno di turno, bere una bibite fresche, baciare la morosa, giocare con i figli o i nipoti. Non per niente il modello che seguno nello sviluppo del mar nero è quello della riviera romagnola
Ora l'adriatico è sicuramente migliore del mar nero, ma imparagonabile con il mare della sardegna, quindi occorre inventarsi qualcosa per rendere attrativo il posto. Anche perchè i romeni non hanno un'altro mare ma solo quello.
