Stanthorpe Holiday - Girraween Bushfire 2019 started in Wallangarra, also Ballandean Pyramid
It's been 7 years since we were here so this is a long overdue holiday to Stanthorpe and Girraween catches fire.
I was there before they shut the National Park down.
We saw the Japanese Gardens at Toowoomba, the Historical Red Bridge in Stanthorpe, the Ballandean Pyramid and Girraween National Park just before it was overrun by bushfire.
The arrow on the rock at Girraween 5:41 was put there by the Army and was used to check alignment of equipment as it can be seen from the Calibration hut at the Store Depot, Wallangarra. At one time Wallangarra was the stop station of NSW railway gauge and the start of the QLD railway gauge line.
