Qingdao forest wildlife world look around | 칭다오 황도 야생 동물원 | china zoo | 중국 동물원 | reviewqueen | 리뷰퀸

It is also the site of the Tsingtao Brewery, the second largest brewery in China.
In 2016, Qingdao ranks 79th in the Global Financial Centres Index published by the Z/Yen Group and Qatar Financial Centre Authority, the other Chinese cities on the list being Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing and Dalian. Old Stone Man in Qingdao China 石老人,中国青岛
This is a short video of Old Stone Man scenic viewing area in the Laoshan District of Qingdao. There isn't really much here and is place is a bit dirty and pretty far out for most of the folks in Qingdao but the views it offers of the city are wonderful. At low tide people will go and harvest mussels from the rocks at high tide the place is empty and an awesome spot to just kick back and take in the area.
At the foot of Wushan Mountain in Qingdao stands a 17-meter-high rock resembling an old fisherman. While most of the surrounding rocks have been eroded away over the centuries, the fisherman remains stoic and persistent.
The Old Stone Man Garden was built to commemorate the legend, featuring a wide variety of Chinese cultural elements. Legend has it that the Old Stone Man (石老人) was a fisherman who lived at the foot of Wushan Mountain with his only relative - his beautiful and intelligent daughter.
One day, the daughter was captured by the son of the king of the sea and taken to his undersea palace. The desperate old man could do nothing but call out his daughter's name across the sea every day and night.
Time turned his hair gray and bowed his back, but still his daughter did not return. In the end, the king of the sea turned the waiting man into stone.
The Old Stone Man Garden was built to commemorate the legend, featuring a wide variety of Chinese cultural elements. Strolling around the garden, visitors can enjoy the romantic sea view, green mountains, tall bamboo, melodious birdsong and gentle winds.

Giant Panda With Shaved Legs in 2008 Goes Viral Online In China
A video of a giant panda with shaven hind legs recently went viral online in China, turning him into an overnight celebrity even though the video was shot in 2008.
The video captured the panda, Yuan Xiao, limping around his enclosure seemingly unaware of being stripped of his pants.
At that time, Yuan Xiao was wounded during a panda gang fight when he used to live in the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding of southwest China's Sichuan Province. Vets had to shave his hind legs to properly treat the wound, therefore stripping him of his 'pants'.
Yuan Xiao, who now happily lives in a zoo in Qingdao, Shandong Province, did not receive the attention he deserved for showing off his naked legs, as the internet in 2008 was not readily accessible in China as it is now.
However, it is never too late to claim fame, as someone finally posted the video online. Netizens went wild for Yuan Xiao, calling him the panda stripped of pants. Even his own breeder did not know about his experience.
Yuan Xiao has always been a healthy panda here. We didn't know he had such an experience. We contacted the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to verify it and they confirmed that Yuan Xiao is indeed the one that was stripped of his pants, said Duan Meiling, a panda breeder with Qingdao Zoo.
Some visitors in the zoo said the panda has since become mild in temperament. Maybe he has grown milder after all these years, since he was stripped of his pants after the gang fight. I just saw him lying there, said a visitor.
The giant panda is healthy now; it can freely climb trees and stand on walls, and his hair has grown back, covering the scars on his hind legs.
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding rented the panda to Qingdao Zoo and when the lease ends, he will return to Chengdu. Therefore, Duan said she cherishes every moment with Yuan Xiao and often takes photos of him on her phone.

White tiger cubs meet make their debut in Qingdao
A pair of white tigers born in July made their first public appearance during the Spring Festival in Qingdao in eastern China’s Shandong Province. While one of the cubs is entirely white, the other one has the typical tiger stripes. The coloring is a result of genetic defects and only one in 100,000 tigers are born this way.

China's fastest suspension railway line has been put in trial operation in Qingdao
China's fastest suspension railway line has been put in trial operation in Qingdao, eastern China's Shandong Province.
Nicknamed the ‘Skytrain', the elevated monorail is already breaking records, while still in its testing phase. Engineers say it can perform nearly three times better than regular subway trains and can ascend gradients of 100 meters over a distance of 1,000 meters.
Designed as a lightweight, intermediate speed, medium traffic volume, and low-cost transport system, it's expected to have huge market potential in scenic areas, mountainous regions, and major cities.
Made by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co. Ltd, the suspension train will be able to carry up to 510 passengers in three to five carriages, with the maximum running speed of 70 km per hour.
