In early June we traveled to the northwestern Chinese city of Xining in Qinghai province for a few days. The first place we visited was the Tibetan Medicine and Culture Museum, one of the highest rated sights in Xining. It was certainly worth a visit, and we learned many things about the ancient Tibetan culture.

A China vlog from Xining! Me and my husband went on a Tibetan art exhibition in Xining City (Qinghai province), and after that on a little stroll in People's Park. This was in the very end of March, when spring was still on the way.

At first , I thought this place is the highlight of my trip to Xining. I booked a driver before fly to Lanzhou and find that he was super expensive and overcharged me. Anyway, Qinghai Lake kind of overrated area and it's not really worth of my journey all the way from Xining. More details on my Qinghai Lake journey please visit princesscindyrina.com.

Xining is a new city started 16 years ago. in those sixteen years the population has grown to 10 million plus.
The Ta'er Temple built in 1577 and one of the Yellow Hat Sect of monasteries. It contains many fine Yak Butter Sculptures. Note the real gold roof.
