The Northwestern Outdoors Radio crew heads to Port Hardy in British Columbia for an epic saltwater fishing adventure with Chad's Coastwide Sportsfishing.  Owner Chad Calder will tell you about his operation during a fantastic morning of salmon fishing, Guide Bryan Ramage breaks down the gear, tackle and bait they use for success in the saltwater and when we get back on land we'll visit the Quatse Salmon Stewardship Centre at the edge of town!  Air Dates July 22, 2017 and January 06, 2018

WFP - Quatse River Festival

Western Forest Products visited Quatse River Festival on World Rivers Day in September 2014. WFP is a large supporter of environmental stewardship on Vancouver Island and Coastal British Columbia.

Our stewardship partner, The Northern Vancouver Island Salmonid Enhancement Association (NVISEA), is a non-profit society that has worked to improve fish production, habitat, environmental monitoring, public education and community involvement in environmental stewardship on North Vancouver Island. They oversee and help manage the Quatse River Hatchery, Salmon Stewardship Centre and Regional Park & Campground. Find out more about their great work and visit them here:
