Time Lapse Drive: Montréal to Québec City, La Belle Province of Quebec
June 30, 2017 - I've just landed in Montréal after taking a red-eye from Vancouver, and haven't a moment to lose, as I need to journey further east!
Well, I have a few moments to lose. The first few minutes of this time lapse involve me setting up my camera in the rental car and doing laps around Dorval to find a McDonald's for petit déjeuner.
After I'm fed and have a coffee for the road, I head east from Dorval - the Montréal suburb where Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport is located - along the world-famous Trans-Canada Highway to Lévis.
The main route of the Trans-Canada Highway is known as Highway 1 in six out of ten provinces, but not here in Québec; in fact, it doesn't have a number at all! The route piggy-backs off of numerous provincial Autoroutes, as it does similarly in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
In Québec, the Trans-Canada Highway is Autoroute 40 from Montréal west to the Ontario border, Autoroute 25 to simply cross over the Saint Lawrence River, and Autroute 20 for the majority of the rest of its journey eastward to the Maritimes.
Crossing the Fleuve Saint-Laurent once more, I arrive in Québec City, one of the oldest cities in North America (founded in 1608), and the only walled city in North America north of Mexico.

Old Québec City, Canada
Recorded October 1, 2016
Old Québec is a historic neighbourhood of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Comprising the Upper Town and Lower Town, the area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From:
Via Rail Trip - Quebec City
We went on a trip with Via Rail and our first stop was Quebec City.
In Quebec City, we imagined strolling along the St. Lawrence River, exploring the city center and its small cobblestone streets. We imagined being charmed by its architecture, its history, and of course, its castle.
But in reality, what we remember most is all the unexpected things that we happened upon, that allowed us to experience Quebec City in the most authentic way, far from our original expectations.
Quebec City public transportation: RTC Buses
Some videos and pictures I've taken during a trip at Quebec City and Levis of the public transportation system. The buses of Quebec City are operated by the RTC (Réseau de Transport de la Capitale). The videos and pictures were taken near the port of the city, in the Old Quebec, and at downtown Quebec City, in the province of Quebec, Canada.

QUEBEC CITY (DOWNTOWN), QUEBEC, CANADA
Driving Downtown Quebec City, Capital of Province of Quebec.
Nothing interested in this part of the city, next video will gonna explore the most famous area of Quebec City, where all tourists always go to: The Old Historic Quebec City.
Stay tuned.
PS As a driver, I hate when traffic lights are vertical and horizontal in the very same area (city), it gets you distracted easily. ALL traffic lights in Ontario are vertical.
