WALKING IN KENT | WESTERHAM AND CHURCHILL'S HOUSE
This was a 5 mile day walk in and around the village of Westerham in Kent and I was once again joined by Candice on a hot sunny day.
We followed the Greensand Way for much of the route, through lovely woodland carpeted with bluebells.
We passed Chartwell, the grand house once owned by Sir Winston Churchill and Quebec House, once owned by Major General James Wolfe, who died at the Battle of Quebec and became a national hero.
The walk is from the book AA 50 Walks in Kent and the OS Explorer map is 147 Sevenoaks and Tonbridge.

Chartwell Film Churchill's Home
This video is about CHARTWELL the home of Winston Churchill. I filmed this as a non commercial volunteer project for Chartwell before many of the rules pertaining to Drones had been refined. It was filmed with the permission of everyone involved and I think shows just what a wonderful location and important part of our heritage Chartwell is. The National Trust released rules on the use of drones shortly after and I had to pause the project while I was waiting for my licence and permissions for aerial work to come through. The film is not endorsed by the national trust but I really hope that like me they like it as it shows the simply breathtaking location that used to be the home of one of our most treasured citizens and a real hero to many many people. I will hopefully be going back soon as I live so close and hopefully I will be able to add to the film and get some more aerial images with my new aircraft and aerial permissions. Here at Perception Images I shoot mainly wedding photography and wedding films with the added cinematic extra of the aerial footage but look to help out with charities when I can. I am now getting lots of requests to shoot corporate films so I am looking forward to shooting them in the coming months. Things have moved on a lot since shooting this and I would not have been quite so happy with the results now but i think its silly to keep going back and updating old footage all the time as it can take its soul away.... ah-hum ....George Lucas are you listening .... Please leave any nice comments .... don't like bad ones...lol Any questions please feel free to ask, Cheers Andy

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
William Pitt the Younger (28 May 1759 – 23 January 1806) was a prominent British Tory statesman of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He became the youngest British prime minister in 1783 at the age of 24. He left office in 1801, but was Prime Minister again from 1804 until his death in 1806. He was Chancellor of the Exchequer for most of his time as Prime Minister. He is known as the Younger to distinguish him from his father, William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham, called William Pitt the Elder or simply Chatham, who had previously served as Prime Minister.
The younger Pitt's prime ministerial tenure, which came during the reign of George III, was dominated by major events in Europe, including the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. Pitt, although often referred to as a Tory, or new Tory, called himself an independent Whig and was generally opposed to the development of a strict partisan political system. He led Britain in the great wars against France and Napoleon. Pitt was an outstanding administrator who worked for efficiency and reform, bringing in a new generation of outstanding administrators. He increased taxes to pay for the great war against France and cracked down on radicalism. To engage the threat of Irish support for France, he engineered the Acts of Union 1800 and tried (but failed) to get Catholic emancipation as part of the Union. He created the new Toryism, which revived the Tory Party and enabled it to stay in power for the next quarter-century.
The historian Asa Briggs argues that his personality did not endear itself to the British mind, for Pitt was too solitary and too colourless, and too often exuded superiority. His greatness came in the war with France. Pitt reacted to become what Lord Minto called the Atlas of our reeling globe. His integrity and industry and his role as defender of the threatened nation allowed him to inspire and access all the national reserves of strength. William Wilberforce said that, For personal purity, disinterestedness and love of this country, I have never known his equal. Historian Charles Petrie concludes that he was one of the greatest prime ministers if on no other ground than that he enabled the country to pass from the old order to the new without any violent upheaval ... He understood the new Britain. For this he is ranked highly amongst British Prime Ministers.
