Queens Bath Princeville, Kauai Adventure | Home In Hawaii
Queen's Bath in Princeville Hawaii is a unique tide pool which is a sinkhole surrounded by igneous rocks. It takes a short hike which is 2 miles round trip. The trail starts off on a steep down hill hike, It is very muddy and slick. I would recommend using a hiking stick if you plan on doing this trail. The scenery is very amazing and eventually leads to the coast of what remands from an extinct volcano. Continue on and stay on you left until you see a secure area that is fully blocked off from ocean. This is the Queens bath. Small fish and sea life also live in the pool which makes it a unique place to snorkel under safe conditions.

KAUAI - The Queen's Bath!
This, my friends, is a magical place. Suggested by the locals of Old Koloa Town, the Queen's Bath is a natural tide pool located on the North Shore of Kauai that was formed out of lava rocks. Since numerous people have lost their lives - swept out to sea by rogue waves - extreme caution is required for any visit. Adventurers seeking out the Queen's Bath should do so only at low tide, avoiding the most dangerous months of winter. And as the opening to our video states, never turn your back to the open ocean! Now that our warning it out of the way... we invite you to sit back and enjoy!

Hawaii - Kauai - Queen's Bath
Queen's Bath is an amazing experience. Just a short hike down to the water's edge will treat you to waterfalls and an amazing rocky coastline with powerful crashing waves. There are several coves along the way that are beautiful, but are not for swimming, as currents and waves can be deadly. If you travel left (westward) along the trail you will find a lagoon (provided the tide is favorable). This is Queen's Bath. The geographical features allows water from crashing waves to drain into the pool, as well as out into the ocean, keeping the pool clean and clear. You will find a variety of fish inside as well. Be sure to arrive early as parking is very, very, very limited and waves typically pick up in the afternoon. Be safe and enjoy. Mahalo.

Gorgeous Kauai Vacation Townhouse at Nihilani Resort in Princeville
Hale 'Ohana O Nihilani @ Princeville (meaning 'our family house at Nihilani) is located right by the pool; is in showroom condition, and is the largest townhouse style condo at Nihilani.
Probably the best location in Nihilani - out the door and 35 feet to the swimming pool/recreation complex entrance.
Pure convenience for you and the kids. Inside, you will find a 'furniture showroom' - not previously rented and still almost brand new. Deluxe furnishings include 3 flat-screen digital TVs, time Warner digital cable TV and digital music and 10 MBPS WiFi Internet. Enjoy 200+ channels of digital High Definition TV. With this you get a land line phone with unlimited long distance calling to the 50 states, Canada and Puerto Rico.
On the main floor, a great room concept living room/dining room/kitchen with center granite island creates a welcoming family environment. Solid granite kitchen counter tops/back splash and bamboo hardwood floors on this main floor create an easy to maintain environment. Keep your favorite bottles of wine or drink in the custom wine cooler. Enjoy the large stainless refrigerator/freezer and glass top range. Plenty of cooking and eating utensils for all your needs. The built in microwave/convection oven saves on valuable counter space.
Check in to freshly made beds - a king bed in the MBR, a queen in 2nd bedroom, two twins in the 3rd bedroom and 'kids-only' bunk beds in the den. Sleeps up to 6 adults and two kids (under age 17 - over 16 is an adult for sleeping purposes). The MBR, living room and Queen bedroom have a a whisper quiet tropical design ceiling fan. The 3rd bedroom has a standard ceiling fan.
The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms share a neatly designed Jack and Jill bath so each room has its own bathroom privacy. The bathroom has a tub/shower with adjustable shower wand.
You will have room for two cars in the garage - it keeps your car out of the tropical sun and those quick evening showers that keep Kauai so lush and green. Inside the garage you will find two bikes (men's and women's), 5 boogie boards, two beach coolers, and six Tommy Bahama sand chairs.
We have an extra set of linens for you and full size washer and dryer should you want to change linens or towels during your stay. The washing machine is one of the newest LG models designed to not only do a great job but minimize electrical costs by extracting far more moisture during the spin cycle.
Inside the condo, you can enjoy true wireless access to the internet no matter what corner you are in.
Our Hale 'Ohana O Nihilani Townhome is a truly relaxing place to kick back with a good book and watch he world go by. Or grab a bike and head out to explore the community. There is a bike/pedestrian trail that goes all the way to the shopping center.
Want to play some golf - you can actually walk to the Makai clubhouse but you would probably prefer to drive with your clubs. The south side of the Nihilani complex borders the Makai course a few hundred feet away. Off load your clubs at the starter shack and then park you car in the convenient lot just across the road. Its about a one-minute drive to the Makai course. For a change of pace, try the Princeville course - about a 3-4 minute drive. Same great service and both course offer some awesome ocean views.
Like the beach - who doesn't - Hanalei is one of our favorites - thousands of feet of beach (remember the movie 'The Descendents' or 'South Pacific', and free parking, fresh water and bathrooms all included. If the kids don't like the surf, take them to Anini beach - the double reef protected beach is surf free. Just want to go to the pool or have a cook out with our free gas BBQ -- go out your front door and 35 feet later, you are entering our outdoor recreation complex (see pictures). This truly relaxing place has a waterfall and is one of the more attractively designed pools on the north shore.
Nihilani is one of the youngest condo complexes on the north shore having been built in 2006 and first occupied in 2007. The grounds are extremely well maintained and have probably the most attractive landscaping of all the condo complexes on the north shore. Enjoy a relaxing walk up to the shopping center or to the golf course. Or how about a walk along the edge of the golf course or out to the ocean bluff. You can walk through the homes of the Princeville community or you can even walk down to the Saint Regis Hotel (which also has a really nice public beach and is a great place to watch the sunset over evening cocktails). You can even walk to the Westin resort - both hotels offer fine restaurants, dining, and bar hopping - whatever pleases you.
In summary, make our 2100 square foot townhouse your home away from home, kick off your shoes (outside please) and enjoy some island life. If Hawaii is a paradise (and it is), Kauai is truly a garden paradise. For more information or to book your stay, visit:

Hawaii - Kauai - Queen's Bath - Near Death
There is a reason why there are warning signs and a flotation device mounted at the entrance of Queen's Bath. The person in this video did not heed the warnings and proceeded to jump into one of the coves during heavy surf. He was lucky, but he could have suffered serious injury or worse by being thrown into the rock wall or dragged out to sea. I could be completely off base here and he may have done this stunt a thousand times. I guess what I am trying to say is, be careful, know before you jump and if you are going to do something like this be sure you are a good swimmer and rock climber.
Kauai - Exploring seacaves, Queen’s Bath and waterfalls
Kauai is Hawaii's fourth largest island and is sometimes called the Garden Island, which is an entirely accurate description. The oldest and northernmost island in the Hawaiian chain is draped in emerald valleys, sharp mountain spires and jagged cliffs aged by time and the elements. Centuries of growth have formed tropical rainforests, forking rivers and cascading waterfalls! Some parts of Kauai are only accessible by sea or air, revealing views beyond your imagination. More than just dramatic beauty, the island is home to a variety of outdoor activities. You can kayak the Wailua River, snorkel on Poipu Beach, hike the trails of Kokee State Park, or go ziplining above Kauai's lush valleys. But, it is the island's laid-back atmosphere and rich culture found in its small towns that make it truly timeless. Explore the regions of Kauai and make your escape to discover the undeniable allure of the island.

Kauai Island - Queen's Bath - Extremely Dangerous
Filmed by Johann Lovato
You could be swept in the Pacific Ocean by 4-5 meters waves at anytime on the rocks.
A german guy just died the day before I did this trail (local people warned me and 2 spanish tourists). It was closed with several state rangers warnings signs and fences, but I tried it anyway.
Extremely muddy and slippery in december (wet peak season) until you arrive at the waterfall and grave with the 28 deaths count.
