Toasty Melbourne Summer rides - Moonee Ponds Creek Trail full take - 27km / 26 kph
In addition to my first take on this trail I have included an additional section of the trail in my ride. Starting in Roxburgh Park the trail descends to Jacana and then follows the creek to Flemington Bridge and on to the Yarra River where it ends. There are several construction sites due to the Tullamarine Highway extension and therefore a few detours from the main trail are necessary. All in all this is a beautiful yet quite bumpy trail with many bends, only a few traffic lights and it also offers nice views of Melbourne's northern suburbs.

Australia_City Botanic Gardens - Queen's Park
One of the greatest of all Brisbane parks would simply have to be the Brisbane City Botanical Gardens.
These delightful gardens, covering approximately 20 hectares, were established in 1855. They are home to a vast range of plants and trees, both native and exotic. Many of the species here hold great botanical significance, but a lot of visitors simply come here to enjoy the tranquillity that the Brisbane Botanic Gardens offer.
The Gardens include Brisbane's most mature gardens, with many rare and unusual botanic species. In particular the Gardens feature a special collection of cycads, palms, figs and bamboo.
The popular Brisbane Botanical Garden is fronted by both Alice and George Streets in the city, adjacent to the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) a centre for academic excellence in Brisbane Australia.
The Brisbane River forms part of the boundary of the Brisbane Botanical Gardens. If you go for a walk through the rear of the gardens you'll see the River Stage where the Brisbane City Council stages concerts such as the annual Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols. The Brisbane River frontage of the gardens has a mangrove boardwalk, an ideal way to discover these unique coastal habitats.
