Why I LOVE spearfishing my hometown of Brisbane, Australia... HUGE biomass of fish
This is where I grew up spearfishing - Brisbane. I was back in Australia for a wedding so took the opportunity to head out off my home town to get amongst it. It just so happened Sydney diver Harry was in town and had never dived in Queensland before. Safe to say his mind was blown! I also cook up some of the lesser parts of the fish we caught.
Check out his video from the day here
And go subscribe to his channel because he puts out some amazing content!
Also big thanks to Tim McDonald for lending us his boat this day, he also has a channel worth checking out:

Just like any beach in eastern Australia, Mooloolaba can also enjoy a variety of marine sports. I decided to take a more special adventure here. I went to the Mullaba diving center. I borrowed equipment to get into the sea. The goggles should fit into the face without water gaps. It's a good idea to get a scuba diving license in advance. Equipment can be rented easily even with open water only. I'll go into the Australian sea with my instructor once. On the boat, friends to dive together are already on board. We like to dive. The Sunshine Coast is warm and nice. It rained in Sydney. I am traveling and my friend lives here. So my friend decided to show me the water. There is a special dive point on the Mt. Laava coast. When the Australian Navy's missile destroyer 'HMAS Brisbane' built in 1967 was retired in 2001, the Queensland government put warships in this sea for artificial reefs and dive sites. You have to take a boat from Mullaba beach for about 20 minutes to the sea. This time is the most exciting for divers. I arrived at a new destination. A professional instructor who knows the sea here first gets it. Ready, one, two, three, jump! The navy is 28 meters below the surface of the water. The guided missile destroyer, about 133 meters long and about 5,000 tons, stands straight in the sea as planned. A lot of aquatic creatures stay around the sinking line as if they had found a sanctuary. Gunpo still has that form. Twelve years have passed since the water has been submerged, but the military use of the military is felt. When you go down about 15m, the deck starts to look. The ship is another museum in the sea. The marine life that houses 'HMAS Brisbane' is not only fish. The coral has taken its place. The anemone dragged a clownfish here. Lots of rocks like coral and rocks off the coast can not leave the ship. After 30 minutes of exploring the sea, it rises above the water. How are you feeling? Okay ~

WET ‘n’ WILD GOLD COAST AUSTRALIA ADVENTURE 2020 Vlog part 1
#2020 WET ‘N’ WILD GOLD COAST AUSTRALIA
LOCATION:
WET ‘N’ WILD GOLD COAST AUSTRALIA Oxenford, Queensland
Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast is a water park situated in Oxenford, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, owned and operated by Village Roadshow Theme Parks. In 2009, the park received 1,095,000 visitors ranking it first in Australia and eighth in the world. Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast is located adjacent to Warner Bros. Movie World, a movie-related park also owned by Village Roadshow Theme Parks. The park remains open all year with all of the pools and slides heated during the winter months. It is one of seven water parks operating under the Wet'n'Wild brand globally.
Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast opened on 30 September 1984 as Cade's County Waterpark. The Herringe group of companies developed the park at a cost of A$18 million. The name was later changed to Cade's County Wet'n'Wild, then simply Wet'n'Wild in 1987 after a licensing agreement was reached with chain of Wet 'n Wild water parks overseas. Under ownership of Village Roadshow Theme Parks, the park changed its name to Wet'n'Wild Water World to match the related Sea World and Warner Bros. Movie World theme parks. In 2013, to distinguish the park from Wet'n'Wild Sydney, the park's name was changed to Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast.
Scenes set at a water park (fictionally called Splash Planet) in The Inbetweeners 2, a 2014 British comedy film, were filmed at the park.
OPERATING SEASON – All year, heated in winter
POOLS – 4 Pools

Queensland - An amazing journey from Cloncurry to Kuranda | 3D Planet
To enjoy this 3D documentary about Queensland, remember to wear anaglyph 3D glasses* whenever the symbol appears on your screen.
The highest termite hills in the world, colorful parrots and unique animals – this is the famous outback of Australia. It is home to hardy animals and real Australian stockmen.
But even more so, it is the land of the 50,000 year old Aboriginal culture.
Just off the Australian coast, in the huge coral reefs are the world’s most spectacular diving haunts. Most of Queensland’s towns are spread along the coast and cities like Surfers Paradise really make the most of their beach side setting.
There are tropical temperatures in Queensland almost all the year round. Only from June to August does the heat subside a little and then it gets windy.

Scuba Diving the Wreck of the Scottish Prince Gold Coast, Australia - HD
The Scottish Prince was loaded up with Whisky Bottles when it sank more than 100 years ago just a couple of hundred meters of the beach of Surfers Paradise. The depth is only 12m. Great dive site and not affected by the tide, however, surface conditions do matter. Look up the surf report. Once they say you can leave the board at home, it will be perfect for a dive.

People who take a break and wait for a second dive. England is cold and rainy, so it is not like diving on the Sunshine Coast. I love to dive all day long. I saw Ryan Fish and the pretty corals. The charm of this place is that every time you dive, it's different. In the wild Pacific Ocean, start your second dive to find the mystery. The waves were a little high, but the water was peaceful. This time I decided to go to the tail of HMAS Brisbane. At that time, a group of stingrays called a warship of the sea appeared at the tip of a professional diving instructor who went ahead. The stamina reaches 180cm in length and hangs around the sinking line. I look at the ship in a low posture that seems to be an exploration of a stranger in the sea. A bull stingray, larger than a man, wanders around. The stingray has snow on its back. When I get close, I turn around. A male stinging on a female sting will have a thorn. There is a poisonous thorn at the tail end. When scuba diving, you should always be careful. A stingray that rode on the sinking ship for a long time seems to have lost interest and goes to the sea which is far away.

Diving: Barwon Banks, Wolf Rock and Barjon Wreck (Queensland, Australia)
When the chance to join Big Cat Reality ( aboard their Brisbane-to-Bundaberg itinerary come along, I jumped at it. The route, starting in Moreton Bay, took us north past the Sunshine Coast—my home turf. Although I've lived here 7 years, I've had very few opportunities to dive the area.
Barwon Banks, around 40km offshore from my place was the first new spot on my list, and it was great: a very fishy cleaning station, some bull and eagle rays, and interesting topography, too.
Next stop heading north was Wolf Rock, a well known grey nurse shark habitat that I had dived once before, but on a particularly cold and miserable day. Not this time. A strong thermocline at 8-10m held the cold green water below a lovely warm blue top layer. Wolf Rock lived up to its reputation with loads of sharks. Throw in some sea snakes, a turtle, and a truckload of fish... and Wolf Rock has leapt to one of my Top 10 Aussie dives.
A nice meal at the Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island and an overnight steam later, the final day greeted us. While the Cochrane Artificial Reef dive was a bust due to absolute rubbish viz, the follow-up at the wreck of the Barjon was a revelation. She was a timber fishing trawler that burned to the waterline before sinking. As is typical of wrecks in the middle of nowhere, the place was a resting place for turtles and was buzzing with baitfish and their predators. Huge groupers, trevally, spanish mackeral, bonito and snappers all caused mayhem among the schools of baitfish. And the unusual location (miles from the nearest reef or shore) meant a slightly different set of species to those I am used to. Blue striped snappers were replaced by brown-striped snappers, for example, and longfin batfish replaced by orbicular batfish. I could happily spend a week on this tiny site.
All in all, it was a cracking three days, thanks in equal measure to the excellent Big Cat crew, their captain James, the weather gods smiling on us, and a boatload of great shipmates. I hope the weather co-operates again for the return trip in a month or so!

10 Unbelievably Stunning Queensland Islands
Moreton Island
As one of Australia's biggest sand islands, Moreton Island is the perfect weekend getaway for the adventure-inclined. Located just 90 minutes from Brisbane by boat, this unspoilt island has only sand roads and minimal services, making it the ultimate destination for a tech-free weekend.
After you've spent Saturday hiking and feeding dolphins, spend a lazy Sunday snorkelling and four-wheel driving along Moreton Island's sandy beaches.
Fitzroy Island
Wildlife lovers, this one's for you. Located just 45 minutes by ferry from Cairns, Fitzroy Island is home to six of the world's seven species of sea turtles. Depending on the time of year, you can swim with the turtles in the island's turquoise waters, take a tour through the island's turtle rehabilitation centre, or even watch the baby turtles hatch on the beach. Cute!
Once you've seen some turtles and had a snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef, spend the rest of the weekend kayaking, walking through the rainforest, or relaxing by the beach.
Magnetic Island
Named for the effect the island had on Captain Cook's compass as he sailed by in 1770, Magnetic Island is a must-see for history buffs. With a mix of historical Indigenous sites with ancient cave paintings, as well as European forts dating back to World War II dotted around the island, walking through the Magnetic Island National Park is like walking through history. Plus, you'll find plenty of pretty places to stop for a cheeky panorama pic.
Once you've had your fill of hiking and history, kick back on the beach or on a twilight sailing tour. Not a bad way to spend the weekend!
Hinchinbrook Island
For those wanting to explore nature, head straight to Hinchinbrook Island. Full of lush rainforests and surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef, it's easy to spend an entire long weekend snorkelling and hiking here. Make sure you check out Zoe Falls, which boasts a natural infinity pool.
As the biggest island on the Reef, you can get to Hinchinbrook Island via boat from Cardwell, which is about halfway between Cairns and Townsville. With so much to see and explore here – and the only way to get around is by foot or via kayak – you might want to stay for a long weekend!
Hamilton Island
Can't decide whether you want an adventure getaway or just some time to relax? Hamilton Island has it all. Go diving on the Great Barrier Reef or cuddle up to a koala; relax by the pool or get pampered in the spa – whatever your speed, you'll find plenty to do on the biggest Whitsunday island.
With direct flights from major cities on the east coast, getting here is pretty easy too.
Hook Island
Known as the place to dive and snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef, Hook Island is the perfect weekend escape for adventure seekers. This is the perfect place for those who want to spend a weekend camping and exploring its pristine waters.
To get here, fly to Prosperine's Whitsunday Coast Airport and take a short ferry from Airlie Beach.
Long Island
Another of the stunning Whitsunday Islands, Long Island is the perfect place for those wanting a more active holiday. With over 13km of walking tracks that form a part of the Whitsunday Islands National Park, Long Island is a great place to adventure and explore nature.
If you want to turn up the adventure dial even more, spend the day sailing, diving, waterskiing, and paragliding around this gorgeous island getaway. Just hop on a flight to Proserpine and let a 20min ferry from Airlie Beach take you the rest of the way.
Fraser Island
If you love camping, rainforests, and exploring shipwrecks, make Fraser Island your next weekend trip.
A UNESCO World Heritage site, Fraser Island is the world's biggest sand island, boasting 120km of remarkable sandy beaches, hundreds of freshwater lakes and swimming spots, beautiful-coloured cliffs, and tall rainforest inlets. And a quick 90-minute flight from Sydney to Hervey Bay – followed by a short ferry ride to the island – will get you there.
Heron Island
If you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet, head straight to Heron Island. Located in the southern part of the Great Barrier Reef, this island is open exclusively for guests, not day trippers. But make sure you check the ferry schedule – boats to Heron Island from Gladstone run only a few days a week.
This tiny island is only 800m long and 300m wide, but it's famous for its biodiversity. Home to more than 900 different species of fish, as well as the famous Green Sea Turtles, Heron island is the ultimate getaway for those looking to be at one with nature.
Orpheus Island
If you're wanting a relaxing, luxurious weekend away, Orpheus Island is for you. Surrounded by turquoise waters, white sand beaches and green rainforest, this island is all about chilling out in nature and indulging in good food and wine.
Oh, and did we mention you get here via a private 90min helicopter flight from Cairns.
