Aquí también hay senderos ecológicos y una zona especial dedicada a ceremonias mayas, que si durante tu recorrido te toca presenciar alguna, no tomes fotos ni interrumpas ya que sería una falta de respeto para las personas.

About Quetzaltrekkers Guatemala
We are the only all non-profit, all volunteer-run trekking and outdoors association in Guatemala.
Quetzaltrekkers was founded in 1995 as a means of self-sustainable, grassroots fundraising for the functioning of Associación Escuela de la Calle (EDELAC), with the overall aim of combating the unfortunate reality of children living and working on the streets of Quetzaltenango. Our job is to see that tourism dollars directly benefit those Guatemalans that need them most: namely, street children and children at risk of becoming street children. We do this by running tourist-oriented, guided-treks through the beautiful Guatemalan highlands: hence the slogan, ’Hike and Help’.
Join us on one of our awesome hikes!

QUETZALTENANGO, GUATEMALA
This is a short video of Quetzaltenango the second largest city of Guatemala also known as Xela. A good place to visit. The city of Quetzaltenango is famous for having great places for enjoying nightife arround its Parque Central, with bars, nightclubs, and hotels. Also the illuminated Parque Central is one of the most beautful landmarks of Guatemala. Quetzaltenango is home to the Club Xelajú MC soccer team. The team competes at Estadio Mario Camposeco which has a capacity of 13,500 and is the most successful non-capital team in the Liga Nacional de Guatemala

Become a Hiking Guide - Quetzaltrekkers Guatemala
Want to hike above the clouds? Watch volcanoes erupt? And help kids get an education by doing it?
We are always looking for new volunteers to train as hiking guides!
At Quetzaltrekkers, we are all working as volunteer guides and we manage virtually all aspects of the organization.
In our office you won’t find a boss or a supervisor, but you will find a tight-knit team of dedicated, super sexy volunteers committed to the organization and the cause. We can’t think of a place where you’d be given this much autonomy and responsibility working as a volunteer. Life here can be hectic and the days can be long. Ultimately, though, working as a Quetzaltrekker guide is an incredibly rewarding experience and, well, a lot of fun.

Xela, Guatemala
Our time in Quetzaltenango (Xela), Guatemala staying with a host family while we studied Spanish. Highlights are time with our family, the processions & parades, eating Pepian, visiting the markets and amazing natural volcanic hot springs, and the crazy chicken buses.
Santiago Atitlan Tuk Tuk Tour | GUATEMALA TRAVEL VLOG
Today we head over to the largest town on Lake Atitlan, Santiago Atitlan. It's a short 20-minute boat ride around the coast where we learn about Guatemala's bloody civil war and meet a local celebrity! Today we jump on a Tuk Tuk Tour to explore this beautiful town.
Before setting off for Santiago, we had a couple of things in mind that we wanted to visit, one of them was Maximón, the wooden effigy of a man worshipped by local people that apparently drinks alcohol and smokes. This all sounded very mysterious and from our research, we realised that we would need a local guide to take us to Maximón. After that our plan was to explore Santiago on foot as it came. As it turned out we got the most amazing tour guide when we arrived at the port who took us around Santiago and taught us the history of the town. He also introduced us to a lovely 77 year old lady called Concepción Ramírez who has appeared on the Guatemalan 25 cent coin since 1959.
Enjoy our latest Guatemala Travel Vlog!
