Quex Park is a unique country Park of 250 acres on the Isle of Thanet set within an estate of 1800 acres around Birchington, Acol and Richborough. Like many traditional country states, the profitability of farming alone was not able to provide for the upkeep of the various historic buildings and parkland. As a result the Estate has diversified its many redundant outdated agricultural buildings. Within the Park there is a Childrens Play Centre,a Craft Village, a Garden Nursery, Quex Park Livery, Quex Paintball, a Farmshop and Restaurant (Quex Barn) and in the summer, a giant Maize Maze.
- Diversification activity allowed the site to continue and provides a large number of jobs to surrounding villages. - The nutritional properties of cold pressed rapeseed oil have been shown to help reduce high cholesterol which can cause heart disease, when included in a balanced diet. - Manufacture chips part of traditional and local permemt work in a short circuit and reduce GHG emissions.
