December 27, 1735. Around 2:00amin in the morning a Monstrous Wave destroy the whole Baler. the Town was devastated in seconds and many lives were immediately lost.but seven Families manage to survive from the tidal wave and founf their safe spot in Ermita Hill.
the ones who made it through were and the Angara, Bijasa, Bitong, Carrasco, Ferreras, Lumasac and poblete family.

According to the tourist guide. they call it Mother Falls, simply because it is the grandest of all waterfalls located in the vicinity.
Towering around 140 feet and with the cold water from the highland of Sierra Madre Mountain Range.

One of my new 5 must drive places list - Baler Casiguran Road
The beautiful scenery of the Baler Bay and Philippine Sea. Video start from Baler Aurora up to Dipaculao. This is part 1 of the entire Aurora - Quirino - Isabela Province Joyride. The roads were excellent except for minor road works along Dipaculao like bridge installation but surely you will enjoy a leisure drive along this route. There are water spillways along this route and it is not new since it is a coastal road. I wonder how dangerous it is to pass here during typhoons...
