Over the weekend we went to the Forest of Dean to spend the weekend in a little lodge in the forest! It was so nice despite the storm and we got to go in the hot tub in the rain ha!

The Illinois Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability held a hearing in Sterling, IL to discuss the closing of Thomson prison. Governor Pat Quinn wants to sell Thomson to the federal government and the Obama administration wants to move the Guantanamo Bay terrorist detainees to the facility. Several hundred tea party activists attended the hearing to voice their concerns over the plan.
After a few minutes of introductions, one member of the tea party asked if the meeting could be started with the Pledge of Allegiance. The chairman relented.
