Thomas Cook Airbus A321-211 | London Gatwick to Malta *FULL FLIGHT*
Hi all, welcome to the start of my journey down to the Med for a couple of days, commencing with a good 2 hours & 50 minute flight from Gatwick to Malta. This was my first time sampling out Thomas Cook as well, and I must say they are a good airline! Out of the UK's 3 main holiday airlines, Thomas Cook, TUI and Jet2, Cook are definitely my favourite. The aircraft was surprisingly in the old colours as well, and in the old 'Egypt where it all begins livery', which personally I thought was cool. I was expecting a sharklet A321, but hey ho, this was still cool.
I didn't preorder an inflight meal I'm afraid, as I wasn't 100% sure what they'd serve on the flight etc, so I decided to eat in the airport and have a snack onboard, of Nacho Tortilla chips with a Salsa Sauce, and I must say it was lovely. The flight was literally a full flight, excuse the pun, I hardly noticed an empty seat anywhere, so its good to see that this route is doing well.
The flight itself started with a little delay departing due to congestion around the threshold for 08R. We had to wait a while before we were cleared to leave Gatwick. Once we left, we had a lovely 08R departure with some lovely British countryside views before heading south over Brighton and the channel. The approach into Malta was quite hazy, but once we reached land there was some lovely views of the Maltese islands including Gozo! A very hard touchdown as well...
Anyway if you enjoyed this video, give it a thumbs up, comment, share and subscribe! Check out the flight info below

About England's Coast to Coast Trail
Devised by renowned walker and writer Alfred Wainwright in 1973, the Coast to Coast Walk is the most famous long-distance trail in the UK. At 315km or 195 miles, the Coast to Coast Walk uses a network of public footpaths tracks, permissive paths and access land to cross England’s huge variety of landscapes, terrain, villages and three unique national parks – the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors.
Walkers are encouraged to dip their boots in the Irish Sea the before setting off and in the North Sea at the end of the trail.
Starting in the tiny Cumbrian seaside village of St Bees, the trail climbs steeply into the Lake District National Park, home to spectacular lake and mountain scenery, before crossing classic rolling farmland, the Pennine Hills and the mystical cairns atop Nine Standards Rigg.
Follow the beautiful River Swale to the historic market town of Richmond before leaving the Yorkshire Dales to cross the low-lying Vale of Mowbray and linking up with the North York Moors National Park. From here the trail undulates spectacularly before depositing you at Robin Hood's Bay.
As you make your way across the Coast to Coast trail on foot or by bike, enjoy staying in specially handpicked hotels, guesthouses and pubs, where you’ll come to appreciate just how much a full English breakfast will set you up for a long day of walking or cycling.
Because of the popularity of this trail, people often fall into the trap of thinking that it is easy. However, our trips on the Coast to Coast trail are amongst our most challenging but rewarding tours in Europe.
Experience the diversity of England by choosing a guided or self guided walking or cycling trip on the Coast to Coast trail.

1/32: Preparing for The Great Motorboat Tour
The boat insurance people who share your passion…
Join adventurers John Boyle and Fionn Crow Howieson as they prepare for their epic voyage around the British Isles.
Before leaving Falmouth they undertake final checks... maps and charts and get a briefing from an engineer about all things mechanical. The challenge starts here... with 31 further weekly video diaries to follow…
For Full Video Transcript:
1/32 Preparing for The Great Motorboat Tour
Sponsored by Haven Knox-Johnston, now MS Amlin - the boat insurance specialist.
To introduce myself, I’m John Boyle. I’m a 56 year old former lawyer, now turned underwater film maker. I’ve been making underwater films for about 20 years. National Geographic are my agents and I have produced about 30 underwater films in that time with them, which I have sold to world wide television. But I have never ever had an adventure like this one. Fionn Crow Hawieson is my crewman. Fionn has worked for about 15 years with me on the underwater films. He is also an underwater diver, crewman and he also edits all of the films. Along the way Fionn is also going to be principal cameraman - as well as being crewman, he is going to be editing the podcasts, he’s going to be doing the photography so we are going to keep him pretty busy for the trip.
This is our home port, Port Pendennis Marina in Falmouth and this is where my boat, Shark Bay, 34ft Sealine has been birthed for the past 7 years. Our usual cruising grounds are West of the Scillies, East to Salcombe and beyond, across the channel occasionally to Cherbourg where we have got the Channel Islands. We have never really gone any further than that. Until now, where we have had the idea to take the boat all the way around the coast of Britain, round the North of Scotland, and down the West Coast of Ireland before coming back round Lands End and back home to Port Pendennis. It’s an amazing adventure, neither Fionn or I have ever done anything like it and today is the day we are going to do it. It’s 3pm on Tuesday 19th April 2011. We are just waiting for the tide - we have got another hour or so before the tide gets to high tide, the loch gates open and we can head east. Adrian’s the marine engineer who has looked after Shark Bay from new. He has come along to advise us how to deal with some of the small mechanical problems we might encounter along the way.
If you don’t stress about it, if you don’t rush it becomes self-explanatory. It’s very self-explanatory. OK, once you have done all that, you have got this belt off and this belt off.
It’s all quite clear in the book.
Yeah, it’s all very clear in the book, yeah. You have got a bit of sense about you with this stuff, you know what it looks like. You’re lucky to have another engine.
So literally that’s the engine and electrics.
Yeah so that literally shuts the whole electric system down. If that pops out, nothing will operate.
OK.
You know about the oil level and that is self-explanatory and that’s about it really.
And how do you feel about coming to Scotland in a few weeks’ time for a service?
If you need to, not a problem. Not next week, I’m too busy next week.
Well, we are hoping that for at least a week we will get by.
You’ll be fine, you are fully serviced up. I have crossed the “I”s and dotted the “T”s. If that’s the way round?
Thanks mate, thanks for coming down.
Thanks and be safe.
Passenger | Flight of The Crow | Australian Tour 2010 | Rock City Networks

When you're an independent artist you're always having to work within a budget you can control. After all, there's no record company picking up the bills -- you're paying for it all yourself.
For Brighton, UK born and bred yet very much the adopted Australian son singer songwriter Mike Rosenberg, being independent has proven to be the best road he could have taken. There was a time, back in the early 2000s, when things looked very different. There was a five-piece band called Passenger and the big money label behind it and there was a critically acclaimed debut album, Wicked Man's Rest, but when the members of that band chose to go their own separate ways in 2007, Rosenberg opted to stick with the Passenger moniker and trust in his music, his voice and his guitar to take him where it would. He took to the streets and discovered not only that the experience enormous fun, but it also proved empowering for the likeable musical troubadour.
Tongue in cheek sinister pop songs about stalking? Meet Passenger.
The brainchild of 26-year-old Brighton born singer/songwriter Mike Rosenberg, Passenger is redefining the troubadour for the 21st century. Formerly a five-piece band, Passenger has now pared back to basics, quite literally bringing music to the streets on a series of lengthy busking journeys across Australia, America and the United Kingdom. A classic journeyman musician, cut from the same mould as Van Morrison, Neil Young and John Prine, Passenger has the unique ability to move from the humorous to heartbreaking with every song.
After a year spent crisscrossing the UK and US with his debut album Wicked Man's Rest, Passenger's markedly stripped down and soulful second album Wide Eyes Blind Love was brought to the public as it was created: on the road. Setting up on street corners across the UK and Australia, Passenger halted passers by in their hundreds; all connecting to the mellifluous tones and powerfully hewn lyrics emanating from this lone figure and his guitar. This is music as Passenger means it to be, unvarnished and honest, just pure talent and powerful tunes that tap straight into the heart of the crowd.
Struck by the dynamic freedom of the troubadour life, Passenger developed the grass roots method of Wide Eyes Blind Love into the germ of a new album. Impressively and entirely self funded through busking income, Passenger set about recording a series of collaborations with musical friends met along the way. Flight Of The Crow is the remarkable result of Passenger's intrepid journey, with Australian artists Lior, Josh Pyke, Katie Noonan, Boy & Bear, Kate Miller Heidke, Simon J Berckelman (Philadelphia Grand Jury), Brian Campeau and Elana Stone, Matt Corby, Gabrielle Huber and Cameron Potts (Dead Letter Chorus) and Jess Chalker all lending their voices to this serendipitous creative venture. Flight Of The Crow was recorded in Sydney's famous BJB studios over February and March of 2010, and co-produced by Berkfinger (AKA Simon Berckelman from Philadelphia Grand Jury).
As a second album born of the road, Flight Of The Crow speaks to the compelling quality of Passenger's music and the striking sincerity of his lyrics, both of which are matched by his dedication to this grass roots style of craftsmanship and collaboration. How utterly remarkable that a lone musician can travel the globe, and literally from the street, connect with some of Australia's finest musical talents to produce a self-funded album. This is the stuff of legend, with Passenger clearly evoking the humble, hardworking creativity of the troubadours of old.

THE SWEET LIFE SOCIETY - The Story so far... (2018) EPK
Featuring a mash up of styles from electro swing to trip hop, drum and bass to electronica, reggae to jazz and (more recently) middle eastern sounds; THE SWEET LIFE SOCIETY have been described as ‘a sound bridge between Turin, Kingston and Brixton’. On record that fusion is playful and creative but in the live arena it really comes to life with a show that is packed with energy and an infectious love for music of all kinds.

Hottest UK day in February on record
(25 Feb 2019) LEADIN
Londoners are basking in sunshine in parks across the city in unseasonably sunny February weather.
According to the UK Met office, Monday 25 February 2019, is officially the hottest February day since records began.
STORYLINE:
Bees buzzing around cherry blossoms is an early sign of spring.
And spring has come early across the UK.
The weather in London hit highs of 19 degrees Celsius on Monday 25 February 2019, officially the hottest February day since records began over a century ago.
Londoners enjoying the sunshine in Regents Park weren't complaining about the good weather.
Linus Berglund, is originally from Sweden and studies in London. He says although he enjoys the warm weather he is concerned that the warm temperatures may be related to climate change.
To be honest it feels quite surreal that it is this warm and I'm literally sitting in a T-shirt. But, I mean for me the biggest things is that I'm just scared of climate change, like that is the one thing that I think about when it gets this hot when it is still February is I worry that that's what is causing this. Swapping Suits for Wellies | OurSecretLab x Corporate Client
STORY || In May of this year, we collaborated with one of our longest standing corporate clients on their mid-year Spring Sales Meeting. With a tight budget to work with, and 120+ delegates at the event who are used to the very best in corporate event production, we made sure that we worked inventively with both the venue and the client to get to the very best events outcome, a creative and comedy fuelled carnival. We made sure that we still very much delivered an innovative and inspirational business event, staying very much on target, and most importantly, on budget.
We got the attendees to swap their laptops+suits, for cider+camping (which is a great deal in our books), ensuring that whilst the meeting itself still covered all of the various corporate content and messaging requirements (including an inspirational and eye-opening Insights group session). There was plenty of time for surprises, laughter, dancing (shapes were thrown), singing (good and bad) and the highest of fives, and getting lost on the way to your tent (despite all the lighting, human guidance and directional signage onsite - you know who you are)…
All of this was made possible thanks to the great collaboration between the client team, OurSecretLab,, the venue Sparkford Hall, the in-house production crew at Wonky Dog, and the decidedly delicious and happily healthy 3x days of breakfast/lunch/dinner served up by the splendid chef ninja’s at Crumble Food. Check out the review film, which gives just a little taster of what it’s like when you set yourself the target of creating a mini-festival worth attending, all under the shadow (quite literally) of Glastonbury itself… no pressure at all. Job, DONE.

25/32 Kilrush to Dingle. This next leg starts with great footage of dolphins in the Shannon estuary.
The boat insurance people who share your passion…
It's more difficult seas and strong winds as Shark Bay has more engine problems and limps towards Dingle...the seaside village made famous by the filming of Ryan's Daughter on the golden sands of the strand. A bit of mechanical improvisation makes a temporary fix to enable the Great Motorboat Tour to press on southwards on blissfully flat calm water. Next stop en route to the rocky outcrops of The Skelligs.

25/32 KIlrush to Dingle. This next leg starts with great footage of dolphins in the Shannon estuary.
I said as we were leaving I wonder if we’ll see the dolphins and yes we did! What a great start to the day. They’re actually a resident pod of dolphins that live in the Shannon Estuary. Although they go outside the estuary to feed, they’re found to be genetically different to any of the dolphins outside. So they’re a little subgroup here, which interbreed among themselves and not the other dolphins that circle the coast of Ireland. I was so stoked to actually see them here this morning – great start to the day!
After a nightmare four hours it was so good to be met by another dolphin – Dingle’s resident dolphin “Fungi”. Because until we got into the shelter of the harbour, we’d again encountered engine problems and increasingly big and confused seas, with winds gusting up to 4-7.
We’ve just arrived in Dingle and it feels like we’ve just about got in here as well. We left the Shannon this morning. We were cruising nice and easy although it was quite a strong northwest and a bit of swell and chop across the way, but we were running diagonally with it so it was alright. The next thing I know, the engine starts revving. So I pulled it back and thought, “Here we go, we’ve hit something again.”
Turns out that wasn’t case. What had happened was, somehow, I’d beached the engines! There’s this button here – you can bring the engines right up. The prop was literally sticking out of the water. It sounded like it was cavitating. … It wouldn’t work at first, so we turned it off and turned it on, then two seconds later the engine just beached itself straight up, cavitating. It kept doing it. We started chugging on one engine but we had quite a way to go. We heard on the radio that the forecast was 4-5 and occasionally 7 off the headlands and then started having engine problems. It was pretty interesting – then it got bloody wet – soaked.
So basically we made it there by John forcibly holding the button down and keeping the engines in check – it was a constant battle. We thought for those 15 miles that once we get around the corner we can head south into the bay here at Dingle – and we did it. We’re feeling good now and we’re bloody starving. We left the Shannon at about 6:30 this morning thinking we’d come here for breakfast.
Hello, Adrian?
Adrian, it’s John, hi there.
Hi John, how are you doing?
That’s great – it’s Sunday afternoon but rung Adrian and what he’s told me is to get the engine where we want to be and disconnect the solenoids – disconnect the switches. That way it won’t go up and it won’t go down but it should stay in the right place all the time.
So we found what Adrian’s talking about – here’s the pump, the two relays and the two plugs. The electrics are still being a bit weird but we’ve managed to get the engine where we want it, so we’re going to pull the plug and hopefully that’s where it’ll stay. A quick fix until we get back, hopefully.
It was a temporary fix, but the problem was solved for now. With winds still increasing, we decided to overnight here in Dingle.
One thing we’ve learnt on this trip is you go to bed on a bad weather forecast, and you ignore it, because you just get up in the morning and see what the weather’s actually like. This is one of those classic mornings – we were forecast a 4-5 north-easterly-going, possibly 6-7, as strong as we had it yesterday. Got up in the morning and at the moment it’s glass-calm. 6 o’clock in the morning, typical Kerry morning, the clouds just on top of the mountains. So we’re going to make the most of it, gonna head across to Portmagee, maybe the Skelligs depending on the weather, although it’s drizzling and raining a lot so we’ll see… and down to Derrynane. It might blow up, but seize the moment!
Here he comes!
Next morning Fungi again came to see us off on our voyage.

Exploring Holland with Chanica - Travel - Corinne Dutil
Holland with Chanica Sonnenberg was a blast and it ended with a BANG.
Literally ????????????♀️
Lots of food, lots of wine and lots of cycling.
LOTS OF giggles and exploring.
I was supposed to go to Rotterdam tomorrow, but due to some scheduling issues, I am off to Ireland for 5 days! I am convinced I will meet my future husband. Convinced. And I also will be eating only soup, and walking everywhere, because the cottage I rented is literally in the middle of nowhere! Oh and because I ate quite badly and forgot all about my goals during my time in Holland ????????????
Thank you Chanica for the most AMAZING WEEK. She showed me some of the Dutchiest things, and we had so much fun. I love you.
But, the travel must go on.
Ireland, I CAN'T WAIT. ????
