Blackpool RNLI volunteers save woman cut off by tide
Blackpool RNLI volunteers were called out at 7.50pm on Tuesday evening after the Coastguard received a number of 999 calls about a woman who was stranded on a sandbank at Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
The casualty had been cut off by the incoming tide and had no means of getting safely back to shore. Both of the charity’s D class lifeboats were launched and made their way to the scene. The tide was coming in rapidly and by the time the lifeboats arrived at Uncle Tom’s Cabin the sandbank had disappeared completely and the casualty was struggling to keep her head above water. The stranded woman was tiring rapidly as she tried to swim to safety and was also suffering from the effects of cold and shock.
Blackpool RNLI volunteers took the casualty on board the lifeboat and provided emergency first aid before taking her back to shore, she was then taken to hospital for a thorough check up.

Lifeboat test launch
This channel is mainly dedicated to videos of my hometown, Blackpool, Lancashire, England.
Blackpool is a beautiful seaside town on the north west coast of England.
We have many cool attractions here including our world famous Blackpool Tower, the Pleasure Beach, three piers and a lovely sandy beach..
Blackpool is a relatively poor town that gets (unfairly in my opinion), a lot of bad press..
The aim of my channel is to show Blackpool in a better light..
No town or city is perfect so it's best to appreciate the good parts wherever you live :)

Blackpool Easter Weekend 2019
It was a Holiday weekend, The Trams were running along the Promenade and it was glorious weather in Blackpool over the entire weekend. Your right, this is starting to sound like a work of fiction but its true.
After missing quite a few events I was over the moon to be in Blackpool over the Easter Weekend as the Heritage Trams had a great variety of trams in service, and no doubt they brought back a memory or two to a few people.
This video contains footage from all four days of Heritage Tram action. There is also a short segment showing the good Ladies and Gentlemen of the RNLI in action and with a scattering of buses and coaches it will hopefully let you see what was going on in Blackpool if you didn't manage to get there in person.

Blackpool Sea Life Centre and Blackpool Tower Eye 6th January 2019
First time out of the house this year and a bit of a different day for me. Not having felt well for the last month and having been given tickets for Sea Life Centre and the Blackpool Tower Eye at Christmas, I took my opportunity to escape and headed for Blackpool. Many times I've thought of buying tickets for these two venues but not being overly into fish and not particularly keen on heights, I always thought of excuses not to do so. How wrong could I have been? Both Sea Life Centre and Blackpool Tower Eye were brilliant. I only wish I had went sooner, although I will be perfectly honest with you, I needed a pint before I stood on the Glass platform on the Tower. An added bonus was Blackpool Heritage Trams in action as well. I was also lucky enough to catch the RNLI guys training. All in all a great day in Blackpool, many thanks to everyone in the Sea Life Centre and Blackpool Tower - what a friendly and helpful bunch.
