Rachol Seminary Arch
The Rachol Seminary Arch is another Haunted Place of Goa. Rumors said it that a sentinel spirit walks to and fro under the arch on special days, denying admission to any person that it deems unworthy. In fact, this is not something new, the ghost has been around since the Portuguese era.

Shattered plaque marks Rachol Panchayat Ghar foundation stone
The foundation stone laying ceremony of the new Panchayat Ghar at Rachol was disrupted on Sunday with a large number of villagers opposing the site creating a ruckus that left the dignitaries red-faced. In fact, Sarpanch Joseph Vaz was heckled quite a bit but he valiantly stood his ground.

Ilha de Rachol
Ilha de Rachol is a small village by the river Zuari, near Margao. The fact that is is surrounded by flooded fields does give it an appearance of an island, as the name suggests.It has some very nice houses and a beautiful location. Part of it is quite poor and a lot of houses have obtained funds for renovation from the Indira Awaas Yojana.
