Radar Hill - Tofino
Watch me and my folks as we embark on an epic journey to a so called Radar Hill(contains surfing).
Really it's just me fooling around with my camera on my family vacation over in Tofino. But hey, I surf in the end at Cox Beach, so stay tuned. Pointless I guess, but I found it funny. I was also surprised I was able to piece together a film with all the random videos I took.
Well hope you enjoy!

CANSO PLANE CRASH HIKE IN TOFINO
▶ Check out my gear on Kit:
In this Episode you will see Tofino - a lovely small town west of Vancouver Island in Canada - and the Hike to an over 70 year old plane wreck in the Pacific Rim National Park. I will give you advice on how to get there - an overview of what the hike is like.
Background Information:
The Canso Plane departed from the nearby airport on February 12th 1945. Due to an engine failure it crash landed shortly after takeoff. The pilot managed to touch the plane down “safely” so no human casualties were reported. Very impressive.

Tofino, come and relax
Tofino on Vancouver Island at the Canadian Province British Columbia is a wonderful and beautiful place: Bella Pacifica Campground, Middle Beach, Chesterman Beach, Cox Bay, Radar Hill Trail and all the trips and tours you can make there. It was a wonderful time there. If you are standing at the beaches of Tofino, you will feel like at the Maledives but with needle trees, forests, rocks, crows, racoons, squirrels, bears and whales. The sunsets are so nice. It will let you dream.

The Canso Bomber Plane Crash Site, Tofino
Wayne On The Road EP034
This episode is solely about the hike in along the “Bomber Trail” to get to the RCAF Canso Bomber Plane (Flight 11007) that crashed into the side of Radar Hill outside of Tofino BC, Canada in February of 1945. It was carrying four 250lb depth charges, 12 crew and 3,400 litres of fuel. It’s amazing that everyone survived the crash. The wreckage is still up on the hill with an unofficial trail to get to it. I chronicle a bit of the hike and the wreckage as it stands now.
If I don’t stress it enough in the video, do a little research before you go in. It’s a 45 minute hike but one could easily get lost and some people have.

A 45-minute hike or so. The terrain is a little difficult, especially if it's wet out, but worth the trip.
