8BANGA Spring Cruise 2 Raglan
Holden 8Banger$ Club cruise to Raglan.
Had some of the Holden Club New Zealand tag alone as well. Cool to meet you all. Hopefully many more cruises to come.
Auckland crew met at Manukau mall then cruised to Ngaruawahia to meet both Waikato and Hamilton crews.
Changed our cruise plans due to weather. 1st stop was Raglan District Museum, 2nd stop Raglan Wharf for some Fish'n Chips @raglanfish (Best fish and chip shop i've been too), last stop Nawton Park Hamilton to one of the H8BC house for his birthday and a feast.
Saw a Ferrari get pulled over on the way home. Lucky he got heaps of money and hopefully heaps of demerit points left.
Follow 8Banger$ on Facebook @8banga and and myself on IG @fre3flow and stay tuned for our Summer Cruise and others cruises in between.

Arrowtown Chinese Settlement, New Zealand
Arrowtown Chinese Settlement
On the fifth day in Queenstown, we visited the Arrowntown, Arrowtown is just 40 minutes by the bus from Queenstown. We visited the museum, the Chinese settlement village, and walked along the arrowtown river.
Arrowtown is charming and quirky – a delightful gold rush village nestled below the beautiful peaks that surround the sparkling Arrow River.
The information below is from the website
The Arrowtown Chinese Settlement is a historic village located in Arrowtown, New Zealand and set up by Chinese people during the Otago Gold Rush of the 1860s. The settlement is sometimes referred to as a village and has been restored and is now a common tourist attraction. It is close to Arrowtown on the banks of Bush Creek which is a tributary of the Arrow River.
Ah Lum is a well known example of the Chinese miners who lived in the area.

ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship -- Freesurf
Miraflores, Lima, Peru: - Local government authorities, event competitors, regional dignitaries and the ISA President gathered for the ISA World StandUp Paddle (SUP) and Paddleboard Championship official press conference today at the Miraflores Municipal Building. Panelists began discussing the excitement surrounding the event, and they eventually took on the bigger subject: getting SUP, Paddleboarding and Surfing into the Olympic Games.
I think it's important to support the ISA and what they're beginning here in Peru, not just for ourselves but for our kids and for future generations, said Jamie Mitchell (AUS), the 10-time paddleboarding world champion and Team Australia Captain. By the time they're in the Olympics, I'll probably be too old, maybe not, but people will be able to look back at guys like me or women like Brandi (Baksic, USA) who helped get it there.
Not necessarily, interjected ISA President Fernando Aguerre, expressing optimism that the sport can and will be in the Olympics while Mitchell is still in his performance prime.
Following yesterday's dynamic Opening Ceremony on the streets of Miraflores, the press conference largely focused on the significance of the unique pairing of SUP and Paddleboarding in the same event in a world championship setting.
StandUp Paddle and Paddleboarding are both sports with ancient roots that go back thousands of years, and to be able to bring them together for the first-ever sanctioned world championship is a special opportunity for the ISA, Aguerre said.
Dignitaries present to speak with the more than 50 press on hand were: ISA President Aguerre; Juan Jose Tan, Sports Committee Representative, Miraflores District; Ruben Gavino Sanchez, Alderman for the Municipality of Lima; Francisco Boza, President of the Peruvian Sports Committee; Hector Velarde, Peruvian Surf Legend; Guillermo Gonzales, President of FENTA, the Peruvian Surfing Federation; Karin Sierralta, Executive Director of FENTA; Jose Osterling, President of Club Waikiki, along with athlete representatives Mitchell, Baksic and Jose Jarita Gomez (PER).
Club Waikiki and its founder (Carlos Dogny) were critical in the development of the sport in Peru, so we're proud to be part of this event, Osterling said. Years ago this event was a dream, something we all talked about, and finally it became a reality.
The ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship is one that's been in the works for nearly two years.
This event is the result of the hard work made by Club Waikiki and many other people, Velarde said. We know that from now on the event can be held in other places, but we can feel proud of knowing that the first one will always have been held in Peru.
Aguerre recognized the exponential increase in popularity and knew that a pairing between SUP and Paddleboarding -- which was also lacking a true world championship event beyond the Molokai-to-Oahu race -- could work well.
[SUP] has grown so much in just the last couple years, from what seemed like 30 people in California to thousands all over the state and many more around the world, said Baksic, who's regulary a top 5 finisher at SUP racing events. This event is something that our sport has needed.
In total there will be 125 athletes from 17 countries on four continents represented: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Chile, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, USA and Venezuela.

Glider Flight Experience Go Pro POV @ Derbyshire and Lancashire Gliding Club.
I went Gliding out at the Derbyshire and Lancashire Gliding Club. This was an individual gliding experience where you are taken up by an instructor and are given a lesson on how to fly a glider. On this particular day the wind and thermals weren't brilliant so the flight I had was quite short, however it was incredibly fun!
Here is a link to their website if you are interested in a flight experience;

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.
