Rock climbing in Railay beach and monkeys!
Today I climbed Diamond Cove, this was my first time climbing on a real rock and it was difficult, fun and exhilarating! I also saw a ton of monkeys including a gibbon.

Rock Climbing - Railay / Phra Nang Beach, Krabi - Thailand, Part 1
Rock Climbing in Railay / Phra Nang, Krabi - Thailand
Video: Samuel Degen,
See Part 2:
If you've never climbed before, Railay is one of the best and cheapest places to do so. Numerous climbing schools will take absolute beginners for a day of safe climbing. The half-day courses (around US $30) are a great way to try your hands at an exciting sport -- and are enough to exhaust most beginners. Well-trained instructors provide safe equipment; climbs start easy then gradually increase in difficulty.
Experienced climbers can take advantage of over 700 bolted routes along limestone and sea cliffs ranging from easy to multi-pitched nightmares. You'll even find technical bouldering in soft sand along the beach, or the truly adventurous can try deep-water soloing -- climbing without ropes -- finished by a drop into the sea!
Shoes, ropes, and equipment can be rented from climbing schools. If you're accustomed to the grading system used in the US (e.g., 5.8) you will want to purchase a climbing guide or talk to a school: Railay uses the French grading system (e.g. 6a).

This was the second time I was rock climbing ever. I had another rock climb 3 days earlier with the same guide at Railay West Beach, which is also awesome, but not as beautiful as this spot was.
I can recommend it to everyone, who is interested in climbing. We had a beautiful Hotel in Ao Nang and took the long tail boat to Railay. When you go down the Walking Street, about the 3rd shop on your right hand side is the Railay Climbing Shop, which is also the Rock Climbing School that I used for my climbing trips. And the shop owner is not just someone, it is Jane Numchan, one of Thailands top female climbers.
Railay Beach in Krabi, Thailand: Railay Viewpoint Hike & Caves!! Hardest Hike We've Done!
Railay Beach in Krabi, Thailand is one of those places that we could seriously move to! We started off the day on Railay West where the longtail boats drop you off in Paradise. We walked all the way to Railay East where we checked into our new bungalow and started to explore! The first thing we wanted to do was the Railay Viewpoint Hike! We had heard that the Railay Beach Viewpoint was going to be very steep and difficult to climb, and they we right! It was basically like climbing straight up a mountain! The view was absolutely gorgeous and worth it, though. After that, we decided to explore the Railay Beach caves that glimmered like glitter when you shone the flashlight! All in all, we LOVED railay bay and can't wait to come back again! Make sure you click the subscribe button to watch the rest of our videos! :D
As always thank you so much for watching!

About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s YouTube Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.

Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.

Railay Beach | Krabi | Thailand
Went back to Railay, Thailand this year and I brought my drone along for the trip. So I decided to create a short video of my experience there. Trying to capture the beautiful scenery that surrounds Railay, a paradise for rock climbers and sun seekers. This place offers a more relaxed atmosphere and certainly a great destination when travelling around Thailand

We kick started our three week itinerary of island hoping around the coast of Thailand in Bangkok… the only place you can have amazing street food whilst large water monitors graze on rats beneath your feet. The plan for the first few days was to see a few sites in the capital city before heading south to Railay beach for some swimming and rock climbing. But first, we picked up my sister Eleanor from the Airport.
We took an early morning flight from Bangkok to Krabi. Then from Krabi, we took a bus to the port, and then a boat which would lead us eventually to Raily Beach.
The next morning, my sister and I went rock climbing. After trying a few spots out around Railay Beach, we headed for a cave. We had to climb ladders in the dark with 2 torches between the three of us. Our guide was very good, but he definitely had a relaxed attitude towards health and safety.
The last part of our climbing adventures was abseiling down the face of a massive cliff. Here our guide threw us in the deep end and told us to do it barefoot! It was challenging to say the least, but despite a few knocks and bruises it was an awesome experience we wouldn’t forget.
