Subscribe to Earth Touch now for more amazing nature
Sex sells ... all over the animal kingdom. Females from numerous species use prostitution to get what they want -- and males are eager to pay up. Penguins pay for lurve with rocks, beetles offer nuptial gifts & chimps may bargain with a fruit or two ... For many animals, sex is all about the right transaction.
04:00 Spotted bonobos where there should be chimps? Never fear -- we know our apes! The chimp's frisky cousins made the cut because the clip made us laugh ... and let's face it -- they love their monkey business more. In terms of anatomical accuracy, we challenge you to find any noticeable difference in their private proportions:

The film “Arpilleras” tells the story of ten women affected by dams of Brazil’s five regions, which, through an embroidery technique that emerged in Chile during the military dictatorship, stitched their narratives of pain, struggle and overcoming the violations suffered in their daily lives. The sewing, which had always been seen as a household task, became a powerful tool of resistance, denouncement and female empowerment. Through this common “thread”, each woman embroidered her story, singular and collective, in their respective region of the map of Brazil. At the end of the filming, a multifaceted mosaic of accounts of pain and overcoming. These embroideries, that, according to Violeta Parra are “songs that paint themselves”, bring to the public a reflection of what it means to be a woman affected by dam. If there, in Chile, it is to seek memories spread out like grains of sand in the desert, here it is to search at the bottom of the rivers for their flooded lives, organize themselves, fight and resist.

SUMMARY
=======
Ravenna (Italian pronunciation: [raˈvenna], also locally [raˈvɛnna] (listen); Romagnol: Ravèna) is the capital city of the Province of Ravenna, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern Italy. It was the capital city of the Western Roman Empire from 402 until that empire collapsed in 476. It then served as the capital of the Ostrogothic Kingdom until it was re-conquered in 540 by the Byzantine Empire. Afterwards, the city formed the centre of the Byzantine Exarchate of Ravenna until the invasion of the Lombards in 751, after which it became the seat of the Kingdom of the Lombards.
Although it is an inland city, Ravenna is connected to the Adriatic Sea by the Candiano Canal. It is known for its well-preserved late Roman and Byzantine architecture, with eight buildings comprising the UNESCO World Heritage Site Early Christian Monuments of Ravenna.

SUMMARY
=======
Perugia (Italian pronunciation: [peˈruːdʒa] (listen); Latin: Perusia) is the capital city of both the region of Umbria in central Italy, crossed by the river Tiber, and of the province of Perugia.
The city is located about 164 kilometres (102 miles) north of Rome and 148 km (92 miles) southeast of Florence. It covers a high hilltop and part of the valleys around the area. The region of Umbria is bordered by Tuscany, Lazio, and Marche.
The history of Perugia goes back to the Etruscan period; Perugia was one of the main Etruscan cities.
The city is also known as the universities town, with the University of Perugia founded in 1308 (about 34,000 students), the University for Foreigners (5,000 students), and some smaller colleges such as the Academy of Fine Arts Pietro Vannucci (Italian: Accademia di Belle Arti Pietro Vannucci) public athenaeum founded in 1573, the Perugia University Institute of Linguistic Mediation for translators and interpreters, the Music Conservatory of Perugia, founded in 1788, and other institutes.
Perugia is also a well-known cultural and artistic centre of Italy. The city hosts multiple annual festivals and events, e.g., the Eurochocolate Festival (October), the Umbria Jazz Festival (July), and the International Journalism Festival (in April), and is associated with multiple notable people in the arts.
The famous painter Pietro Vannucci, nicknamed Perugino, was a native of Città della Pieve, near Perugia. He decorated the local Sala del Cambio with a beautiful series of frescoes; eight of his pictures can also be admired in the National Gallery of Umbria.Perugino was the teacher of Raphael, the great Renaissance artist who produced five paintings in Perugia (today no longer in the city) and one fresco. Another famous painter, Pinturicchio, lived in Perugia. Galeazzo Alessi is the most famous architect from Perugia.
The city's symbol is the griffin, which can be seen in the form of plaques and statues on buildings around the city.
