We arrived here around 11 o'clock at night and the summer concert festival was already finished for that night! too bad I didn't have a change to see my beloved Wang lee Hom performed *sobs* but beside that, we enjoyed play in this night market :)
TRYING FOOD AT HUALIEN NIGHT MARKET IN TAIWAN! | Hualien Vlog
The City of Hualien on the East Coast of Taiwan has a really great night market called Dongdamen night market with lots of food!
The night food market is located near the ocean and I really liked the set up of it, it wasn't too busy but there was lots of food including vegetarian and vegan food and aboriginal food.
I tried the coffin bread, fruit corn, tofu fries and BBQ rice stick. I liked them all except the tofu as it turns out it was stinky tofu which I didn't realise!
Hualien is the base city for a trip to Taroko National Park which is where I went next.
I stayed at World Inn Hostel in Hualien which I really liked and would recommend!

Night Market Theatre was a cross-culture and cross-disciplinary art event that took as its starting point Taiwan’s night market culture. Offering something different from performances usually seen on the street, or TV cooking shows, the artists collectively created a menu selling ‘bite-sized’ performances in one of the booths in Zhiqiang Night Market, surrounded by delicious food.

Taipei Day 2 | Food Heaven, Songshan District, & Losing my Train Ticket! | Taiwan Trip 2019
Hi everyone! The second (and final) day in Taipei was definitely a great one, as there are so many things to do in Taipei! (I could've stayed here forever lol.) We started out with trying some amazing Taiwanese food at a vegetarian buffet, then explored and took photos in Songshan District, and finally took a two-hour train to Taichung! But not before losing my train ticket of course... overall, my first time in Taipei was definitely a great experience! Thank you for watching xx

Hello, Sun Moon Star.
Jia-ling, aren't you ready to go?
Oh, it's okay. You can go first.
Oh, all right.
Where are you going for the three-day vacation next week?
Well, I am still wondering.
OK. You can keep thinking. I am off first.
OK. Bye.
This is what I do every day. It is tiring and I really want to take a rest sometimes.
Yet when I see the smile on the tourist's face, I will feel satisfied.
I am not a Virgo, but I am very picky about cleanness.
Some of my friends tease me for taking so much time tidying up the rooms, but I just smile.
Oops. I am running out of time.
Hi, Xiao-min and A-kai, right?
Be careful.
I feel the happiest when I have time showing you around.
OK. Here we are. This is Taroko National Park.
How happy I am when I see the guests arriving at their destination.
Even though I have been there for more than 10, 20, or 30 times,
I feel differently whenever I come here.
Taroko National Park is famous for its canyons and cliffs.
Taroko Gorge begins from the archway of the Central Cross Island Highway.
The almost vertical marble gorge is well-known around the world.
The most impressive natural spectacle in the gorge
is the narrowest part. While amazed,
we not only praise the miracle of nature, but also thank for out ancestors' dedication.
Let's go to another spot--Qingshui Cliff, Hualien.
Qingshui Cliff is located between Heren and Chongde on Suhua Highway.
About 12 kilometers.
This is Qingshui Cliff. It's really beautiful.
Let's go over there. It's more beautiful.
We can watch the sky and the Pacific Ocean here
and levels of blue colors along the coast.
Come to see this world-class beautiful landscape.
I feel touched because it is the pride of Taiwan people.
In fact, many people pass by, but they seldom stay.
We should stay for the beautiful scenery. It is great.
Sister Lai, where are we going next?
I am going to take you to the largest lake in Hualien.
Sister Lai, I have a question.
I thought we were going to see a lake, but where is the lake?
Actually there are two versions of Chih Sing Lake.
The first is what the elderly used to say that
Chih Sing Lake includes lakes around the airport.
There are many small lakes.
Seven of them are larger.
Under the moon light, you can see
The brightest lakes, which are called Chih Sing Lake.
The other version is that when you lie down to watch meteors at night,
you can see the Big Dipper, so it is called Chih Sing Lake.
What do you think?
You know, Xiao-min.
Chih Sing Lake now is well planned.
Do you see the bikes?
There is a bike trail
and a square for star-watching.
Look at the sunrise.
The government has been planning all these facilities.
It's great for you to be here.
Let's check out other places.
The most beautiful places here. Let's go.
Sister Lai, I would like to buy special souvenirs in Hualien.
What do you like to eat?
Rainbow Night Market is the most famous in Hualien.
Nanbin Night Market has been removed.
Because it is turned into a park.
Why is it called rainbow night market?
Because it has seven different colors.
Each stand is different.
The signs of the stands are neat.
Let's go check it out.
Rainbow Night Market plans to
set up more than 100 stands.
The column in front of each stand has different colors.
When the lights turn on at night, they look bright
as if a rainbow at night.
Therefore, it is called Rainbow Night Market.
The signs of the stands are neat.
Those coming to the Night Market will not just walk around.
They can see all the stands clearly.
In Rainbow Night Market, besides foods,
you can also play games
so that you can keep eating after exercising.
This is what I did today.
From smile to surprise, from dawn to night
I think my life is wonderful. It is not just a job.
I take it as a responsibility to make the guests smile.
Xiao-min, A-kai, have some breakfast. OK.
Sister Lai, good morning. Good morning.
Good morning.
Did you sleep well last night?
It was comfortable.
We felt like we were at home. We felt carefree.
OK. Enjoy your meal.
This is a set of special Sun Moon Star breakfast.
After eating, you will feel happy whole day long.
Enjoy your meal.
Although we just stay together for a couple of days.
when they are leaving,
I would always feel a little bit sad.
Come here. Let's take a picture.
Let me take a picture for you.
Three, two, one. OK.
Yet...I still have to cheer up
and welcome the next guest.
Are you Jia-ling?

Shaved Ice at the Hualien Night Market in Taiwan
Our introduction to shaved ice (雪花冰) was in Hualien, Taiwan at the Hualien night market. This stand had so many delicious-sounding flavors, we were sad we couldn't try them all. This night we settled on sour plum. But we made sure to return once more to sample a few more flavors.
TA-TUNG night market = food, clothes, games everything is very cheap prices. || TAIWAN ||
Night markets in Taiwan are street markets in Taiwan that operate in urban or suburban areas. They are similar to those in areas inhabited by ethnic Han, such as Southeast Asia. A few, such as Huaxi Street Tourist Night Market, (or Snake Alley) utilize purpose-built marketplaces but most occupy either sidewalks (pavements) adjacent to streets or entire streets that are normal thoroughfares by day. Some night markets in smaller side streets or lanes feature retractable roofs. Most of the markets operate daily and feature a mixture of individual stalls hawking clothing, consumer goods, xiaochi (similar to snacks or fast food), and specialty drinks. The atmosphere is usually crowded and noisy with hawkers shouting and fast-paced music playing over loudspeakers. Taiwan Night Markets changed from small local gatherings to noisy streets lined up with vendors. These vendors have to adhere to some laws set by the Taiwanese Government. There are vendors selling food in some of the most famous Night Markets all around Taiwan. There are many night markets in Taiwan.
