Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib and Hot Springs in Kullu Manali - Pilgrim Tourism in India
Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib is a pilgrimage centre for Hindus and Sikhs. The famous Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib is situated in the banks of River Parvati. There is Lord Shiva Temple. The area is well known for its hot springs and its beautiful landscape.
Manikaran is located in the Parvati Valley on river Parvati, northeast of Bhuntar in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an altitude of 1760 m and is located about 35 km from Kullu.
According to legend, when the Hindu God Shiva and his consort Parvati were walking in the valley, Parvati dropped one of her earrings. The jewel was seized by Shesha, the serpent deity. Shesha only surrendered the jewel when Shiva performed the cosmic dance, the Tandava and shot the jewel up through the water. Apparently, jewels continued to be thrown up in the waters at Manikaran until the earthquake of 1905.
This video of Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib was recorded in the 3rd week of May, 2016.

Manali Tourism - Temples of Manali | Vashisht temple, Manu Temple & Hadimba Temple
On day 12 of our ride to the Himalayas, we set out for exploring the beautiful town of Manali. Manali town is famous for ancient temples like Vashista Temple, Manu temple, Hadimba temple, and Ghatotkach temple.
Riding through the narrow streets of Old Manali itself is a fun one should not miss.
Vashisht Temple:
Vashisht is a village in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, India. It is a popular tourist place.
Founded by Guru Vashisht who was sole guru and teacher of Ram and Laxman. The village was once the home residence of the Vashisht clan.
Ruled by the direct ancestors of Guru Vashisht until 1534, when under Akbar, the Mughal army seized the temple and small palace of Vashisht village and the neighboring villages which were under the rule of Guru Ram Chandra Vashisht. The family of the ruler and the remaining Vashisht clan were exiled to Punjab (now Haryana) under Akbar's rule.
Manu Temple:
This magnificent temple is dedicated to the sage Manu, who is said to be the creator of the world and the writer of Manusmriti. The Manu Temple is located in old Manali, at a distance of three kilometers from the main market. Though this area is quite congested, the presence of the River Beas adds to its attraction. The temple is one of the prime attractions in Manali and is believed to be the same place where sage Manu meditated after stepping on earth. This place has a distinct historical background that appeals to most of the people who visit Manali.
Hadimba temple:
Hidimba Devi Temple (Hindi: हिडिम्बा मंदिर), locally known as Dhungari Temple or हिड़मा माता, also known variously as the Hadimba Temple, is located in Manāli, a hill station in the State of Himāchal Pradesh in north India. It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in the Indian epic Mahābhārata. The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest called Dhungiri Van Vihar at the foot of the Himālayas. The sanctuary is built over a huge rock jutting out of the ground which was worshiped as an image of the deity. The structure was built in 1553.
