ராமசுவாமி கோயில், இந்தியாவின் கும்பகோணம் பகுதியில் உள்ள விஷ்ணுவின் அவதாரமான ராமருக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு இந்து கோவிலாகும்.
16 ம் நூற்றாண்டில் நாயக்கர் மன்னர்களால் கட்டப்பட்ட இந்த கோயில் அழகிய கட்டிடக்கலை அம்சங்களை கொண்டுள்ளது. நாயக்கர்களின் பிரதம மந்திரி கோவிந்த தீட்சிதர் கோவில் கட்டினார். அவர் தனது புதிய கோயிலுக்கும் பழைய சக்ரபனி கோவிலுக்கும் இடையில் ஒரு வர்த்தக நடைபாதை அமைத்தார்.
கோவில் சுவர்களில் சூழப்பட்ட ஒரு 3-வரிசைக் கோபுரம் உள்ளது. ஆலயத்தில் ராமர் தனது மனைவி சீதாவுடன் அமர்ந்த நிலையில் உள்ள ராமர் படத்தை கொண்டுள்ளது. மற்ற சித்திரங்கள் அவருடைய சகோதரர்களான லக்ஷ்மண, பாரத மற்றும் சத்ருகுணா ஆகியோரின் தோற்றம் மற்றும் ஹனுமான் வழிபாட்டு காட்சியில் உள்ளன. கோபுரத்திற்கு அருகிலுள்ள மண்டபத்தில் உள்ள அறுபது நான்கு தூண்கள், ராமாயணத்தின் பல்வேறு அத்தியாயங்களை சித்தரிக்கும் அழகிய சிறப்பம்சத்துடன் செதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.[3] ஒவ்வொரு தூணும் ஒரே கல்லில் இருந்து செதுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது, மென்நயம் மிகவும் முக்கியமானது.[4] ஹனுமான் கையெழுத்துப் பிரதிகள் வைத்திருப்பதாக சித்தரிக்கப்படுகையில், கோயிலில் ராமர் வியாகர்ணா முத்ராவுடன் சித்தரிக்கப்படுகிறார். விபீஷனாவின் முடிசூட்டு, சுகிரிவின் முடிசூட்டுதல், அகுலியாவை அவளது சாபத்திலிருந்து விடுவித்து, ஹனுமான் வீணையை வாசிப்பது போன்றவை பிற முக்கிய அம்சங்கள். இந்த கோயில் நாயக்கரின் கோயில்களின் வழக்கத்தை கொண்டுள்ளது.[5]

Kumbakonam Temples
Kumbakonam is a city and a special grade municipality in the Thanjavur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 40 kilometres from Thanjavur and 273 kilometres from Chennai. It is the headquarters of the Kumbakonam taluk of Thanjavur district.
Kumbakonam is a temple town with many Hindu temples located in and around it. Majority of the temples are dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva.
12 Shiva temples are connected with Mahamaham festival which happens once in 12 years in Kumbakonam. They are Kasi Viswanathar Temple, Kumbeswarar Temple, Nageswara Temple, Someswarar Temple, Koteeswarar Temple, Kahahasteeswarar Temple, Gowthameswarar Temple, Amirthakalasanathar Temple, Banapuriswarar Temple, Abimukeswarar Temple, Kambatta Visvanathar Temple and Ekambareswarar Temple. Of them 10 temples are in Kumbakonam. Likewise five Vishnu temples are connected with Mahamaham. They are Sarangapani Temple, Chakrapani Temple, Ramaswamy Temple, Rajagopalaswamy Temple, and Varahaperumal Temple. All these temples are found in Kumbakonam.

Sarangapani Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu, located in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the Divya Desams, the 108 temples of Vishnu revered in Nalayira Divya Prabandham by the 12 poet saints, or Alwars. This temple is along Kaveri and is one of the Pancharanga Kshetrams.
The temple is believed to be of significant antiquity with contributions at different times from Medieval Cholas, Vijayanagar Empire and Madurai Nayaks. The temple is enshrined within a huge granite wall and the complex contains all the shrines and the water bodies of the temple. The rajagopuram has eleven tiers and has a height of 173 ft. The Potramarai tank, the temple tank, is located opposite to the western entrance of the temple.
Sarangapani is believed to have appeared for sage Hemarishi. The temple has six daily rituals at various times from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and twelve yearly festivals on its calendar.
