Ranthambore tigers look for new home due to space crunch
As the population of tigers increases in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve (RTR), authorities are forced to look for new inhabiting areas as the reserve can no longer sustain the big cats due to a space crunch. The lack of space in the reserve has led to instances of tigers either killing humans or dying in territorial fights. Meanwhile, Rajasthan’s chief wildlife warden has put forward the proposal to shift the tigers to Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve (MHTR), Sariska Tiger Reserve (STR) and Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary in Bundi. The proposal has been sent to the National Tiger Conservation Authority.
