India's Volcanic Grand Canyon | Raneh Falls | Vlog
The falls is situated in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. It is 20kms from Khajuraho.
Though there is very less water and no fall as it was not monsoon season, the scenic beauty of the place is astonishing. It is a fantastic place for nature trail.
It is a volcanic canyon which was erupted millions of years ago and the temperature was around 28000 degree centigrade. These are igneous rocks mainly of granite and dolomite.
It has five types of igneous rocks -
1. Pink is for granite.
2. Red is for Jasper.
3. Black is for Basalt.
4. Brown is for Quartz.
5. Green/Yellow for Dollonite.
As I have mentioned this as one of the best place other than in monsoon, it is also mesmerising in the monsoon season as the river flows and make the mini Niagara Falls of India.
So, this place has twin benefits coming here seasonally.
