Sanjay Despande is a well known Sitar player. (more about Sanjay in I was lucky to attend his classical music performance on the eve of Independence day (Aug 15, 2014) in Rangoli Metro Art Center (Bangalore) organized by Freedom Jam. This video shows a part of his beautiful sitar performance.

Rangoli Metro Art Center was developed by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) after the civil and construction works of Namma Metro station at the M.G Road, Bangalore was completed. It was inaugurated on 6 May 2013 and made available for the public.[1] Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation’s redesigned the walkway with Bougainvillea which was available for the public before the Metro Rail station construction. This space now includes art galleries, auditorium, play area for kids, Walk-way and more.

WORLD ART DAY - 2018 @ Rangoli Metro Art Center
BMRCL (Namma Metro) & Art Matters jointly organised an event at Rangoli Metro Art Centre, M.G Road, Bengaluru, on 15 April 2018 on the Occasion of World Art Day. The birth day of Famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci is celebrated as 'World art Day' around the world by art community. Art students and art lovers were part of this event. more than 200 participants expresses their thoughts through art on 100 feet Canvas between 11.00AM to 7.30PM.

68th Independence day in Rangoli Metro Art Center (2014)
Rangoli MAC (MG Road, Bangalore) conducted a series of cultural programs on the eve of Independence day, such as, art and craft exhibition, charaka spinning, drum beating and dancing, games, pottery, portrait sketching, music programs etc. We were lucky to witness most of these programs. This video has captured some of the interesting items and moments on the event.

We used to take him to parks, restaurants,hotels,one week tour including overseas.Yesterday we took him for drumjam.He is a child with high level of anxiety.so in the beginning he was anxious,but slowly he started enjoying.He was very sensitive to sounds and people.Now he is able to overcome that difficulties...We need to continue to improve his social skills..

Welcome to the monthly Community Drumjam at the Rangoli Metro Art Centre, MG Road, Bangalore. This video features the third edition of the monthly drumjam and was shot by Director of Photography Niclas Ribbarp of Sweden. This is an ongoing community initiative where Drumjam has partnered with the BMRCL, welcoming people from all walks of life to come together to experience the joys of group drumming. Entry is free. Age no bar. Instruments are provided. Both the activity as well as the venue are accessible to the differently abled and physically challenged.

In India’s history of comics, never has there been a time like this, where creative practices, technology and entrepreneurial moves are in a constellation that allows for an independent comics scene to emerge. Not only in the content of comics, but also in the spirit of distribution and sales of the products.
The first Bangalore Independent Comics Festival celebrates and invites peers to join ranks in solidarity for artists’ rights and direct market access. Through a free market and a series of events leading up to it- the initiative seeks to create a platform where diverse independent voices can come together and share the art, commerce and joy of making comics. The day long event included panel discussions, live music and exhibition of original artworks, as well as a chance to buy comic books from an impressive list of participants including Anpu Varkey, Sharan kumar, Subodhika Malhotra, Nived , Sumitro, Sruti Menon, Praveen yarramilli, Falah Faisal, Rahul Bhandare,, H.A.N.D. Collective, Roshan.k, Boopathy Srinivasan, BlueJackal, Pith Bull, Dhruvan Gautham, Pagal Canvas, Nethra, Bharath Murthy , Death the Duck, Vasvi Oza and Bangalore’s very own Appupen ,Rahil Mohsin, with a total of 35 + participants.
