Rarotonga, Cook Islands 2019 RARO BUGGY TOURS
Raro Buggy Tours Highlights 2019. Most amazing experience we have both encountered. Anyone ever considering going to Rarotonga we recommend booking a tour through Raro Buggy Tours. The tour starts in two different tracks, one is the muddy track that goes through an abandoned hotel (absolutely thrilling and amusing) and the other through a safari styled track in the mountains and fields. This tour was like a real like game where you get the choice of which route to take, except you get the joy of experiencing both.
Jungle adventure in Rarotonga, Cook Islands - Coconut Tours
If true adventure on Rarotonga is what you're after, the Quad Bike or Buggy Jungle Adventure is perfect offering thrills and challenges. Follow our experienced tour guide through mountains to our spectacular wild island jungle, crossing streams and rough, rugged terrain to remote off the beaten track areas. Visitors get the chance to observe the beautiful scenery of the interior of the island while being shown the abundant distinctive local flora and fauna. Finish off the tour with a swim in our fresh water creek up the mountain in one of our hidden local swimming spots. Situated at the very centre of Polynesia, a mere four-hour flight from New Zealand, the #CookIslands is an archipelago nation comprised of 15 islands. It is spread across an area in the South Pacific three times the size of Texas.
According to legend, these tiny islands, dotted amongst the vast ocean, were discovered thousands of years ago by the very finest Polynesian seafarers. Guided by the stars and using other sophisticated navigation techniques, they landed their legendary double hulled Vakas and set about creating paradise.
It has been almost 250 years since Captain Cook became the first European to discover these islands and yet there is a gentle timelessness that endures here. #Vacation here and discover the generous rhythm and warm hospitality of the Cook Islands for yourself.
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

Wetlands wildlife - Aroko saltmarsh, Rarotonga
- The saltmarsh at Aroko is the last remaining environment of its type on Rarotonga. It is a feeding ground for the koiti raukura (fiddler crab), kuriri (wandering tattler) and kotuku (Pacific reef heron).
2011 is the Year of Wetlands in the Cook Islands. We must learn to preserve our wetlands before they are all gone.
