Raveningham Country Fair Part 2 Walkaround and Stationary Engines
Welcome to my channel, I hope you enjoy watching all the kayak fishing around the UK, mostly in the North Sea - in the sea and river, fishing for cod, bass, tope, dogfish, smoothound, thornback ray, whiting, wrasse and anything else I can target There's scuba diving off the North Norfolk Coast and Suffolk, wreck diving, reef diving, river diving, even Cenote Diving, in the Red Sea off Egypt, the Mediterranean off Malta and Gozo and in Mexico, Brazil, Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, Pembrokeshire in Wales, Swanage and Plymouth and of course the diving with sharks in South Africa. There's kayaking too, including surfing sailing and touring in the UK and abroad and a bit of snorkelling, Plenty of videos too of me fiddling with and driving my classic car, a 1973 Triumph Spitfire and other cars get a look in too. There's cooking, eating, travelling around various cities in Europe - Berlin in Germany, Naples and Rome in Italy, plus the Vatican; Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and elsewhere in Bulgaria; Lefkosia / Nicosia and much of Cyprus, Krakow in Poland, there's Malta too. Istanbul in Turkey just outside Europe too, and Egypt around Hurghada. Further afield there's a bit of South Africa and Latin America with the Mayan Riviera of Mexico and Rio de Janeiro, Paraty and Isla Grande in Brazil. There's even a bit of Northern Ireland and parts of England mixed in with the nonsense of East Anglia in a camper van with my daughters! If you enjoy one video please watch another and consider subscribing so you don't miss future uploads however crap they might be! Thanks and regards, Mark
WSR. Long distance footage of 6960 'Raveningham Hall' Winter Steam Festival.Sun 30th Dec 2018.
** Best watched on a larger Tablet or Computer screen...Turn up the volume..!!!
Today was my chance to realise an idea i have had in my mind for quite a few Months.. I drove to the top of the Quantock Hills, near Triscombe in what can only be described as quite thick mist..confident it would clear in time for the appearance of the West Somerset Railway's 6960 'Raveningham Hall' on the 09.35 path on the Winter Steam Festival.....With the WSR closing down on the 1st January until the end of March 2019 i decided i needed one more video to finish off this Year with.. Having done the other well known Hill at Old Cleeve in the past, i fancied something a bit different.. I wish i had brought my Binoculars so i could have had a rough idea where the Railway track was in the Landscape, but it was ok due to the plume of Smoke in the distance...Phew !!
Luckily the mist cleared and i had a nice clear view well down past Bishops Lydeard... My Panasonic X920 was set on the lowest 12X Zoom setting..any higher and it would have degraded the HD.
I am quite pleased the way it has come out..in my opinion well worth the 4 Mile round trek to film the Hall. Hope You enjoy it, maybe not to everyone's taste..lol.....Cheers, Steve.
** Interestingly at 08:24 there is a 5 Second delay between the Whistle being sounded just before Waterdene Farm Crossing and it being heard on the Hill...!!
GWR Cotswold Festival of Steam Part 2 May 2019. GWR 4-6-0 King Edward, GWR 4-6-0 Foremarke Hall
Cotswold Festival of Steam at the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway 25-27 May 2019.
Featuring:
GWR 4-6-0 King Edward II 6023 built 1930 Collett at Swindon.
GWR Modified Hall 4-6-0 Foremarke Hall 7903 built 1949 Hawksworth Swindon.
Sorry I had to mute some clips as the wind was too loud.
Gauge 3 railway in the garden Gwr hall 06 shunter and class 23
The modified hall is looking more complete now it has its coupling rods. The next job is to adjust the suspension as it sits slightly low at the rear, tender also. Then im going to adjust the gearing as a scale 90 mph is a bit hairy on 8 foot radius curves.

Welcome to Central Stores Stogumber, Somerset.
Stogumber lies at the bottom of the Quantock Hills off the main road with beautiful countryside surrounding the village. It might be known as sleepy Stogumber but with a pub. A school a church and a shop it provides a good base within a noisy and bustling outer world. There are many talented people in Stogumber arranging activities and festivals for the community and beyond. Between June and October we have gardens open where during a weekend you can visit individual gardens and get some ideas of your own and feast at the village hall.
Some people just come for the home cooked lunch. Followed by a beer fest and a music festival for young and old. There are theatre productions depending on when you visit: see the village diary . We have also got an active cricket club where young as well as old are welcome.
We lived on the outskirts of Stogumber when the shop became available 7 years ago. The shop has been there for over 100 years and we offer a service based on customer service. If we can help we will from delivering to recently packing and delivering a birthday present: ordered from Canada!
It a great place to relax and families enjoy the freedom of walking and exploring. We may not have the fast telephone reception you would get in the city but we offer free wifi in the shop. Just ask for the password.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Anne & Roger Howe

An Evening with Sir Nicholas Bacon
Ever wondered how the other half lives? Sir Nicholas Bacon gave us a raw and honest look at the life of England’s aristocracy with anecdotes of how he was raised ultimately by the chauffeur, butler and game keeper to his time at Eton and the career he was pre-subscribed to him (law) but one that he ultimately stepped away from to how he eventually found his passion in gardening from his mother.
Severn Valley Railway STEAM TRAINS + shunting show!
It's taken me 2 years, but finally, here's my video of my trip to the Severn Valley Railway from June 2017. I could give you a bunch of excuses, but I'm too lazy to, so instead I'll just say I hope you enjoy the video! I should have a few more videos coming out soon now that I'm on break, so keep your eyes peeled!
I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it.
