Croyde Beach And Village North Devon.
Croyde is a village on the west-facing coastline of North Devon, England. The village lies on the South West Coast Path near to Baggy Point, which is owned by the National Trust. It lies within the North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Croyde village and its beach faces the Atlantic Ocean near the western limit of the Bristol Channel.
Croyde Stream runs through the village, eventually leading to the beach. The centre of the village is roughly at the intersection of Hobbes' Hill, Jones' Hill and St. Mary's Road. At this spot, Croyde Bridge carries the road over the stream.
Public services are provided by the North Devon District Council (NDDC) based in Barnstaple. The village is in the civil parish of Georgeham, and for ecclesiastical purposes within the Diocese of Exeter.
The village has several small campsites, a small retail area and two large holiday parks; Croyde Bay Holiday Resort (operated by UNISON) and Ruda Holiday Park, operated by Parkdean Resorts.
The past 30 years has seen large increases in younger-age visitors develop around surfing. The impact of tourism on the village has been varied. Some local landowners have benefited from the increased property prices. Tourism has helped to create jobs that were lost in agriculture. Local farming has declined, with former farmland converted into caravan sites and fields for seasonal camping. Like many seaside villages, the phenomenon of second homes has pushed house prices beyond the reach of most local people. There is little year-round employment, because tourism is seasonal, and most businesses are closed out of season.
Since 1999, Croyde has hosted an annual surfing and music festival (GoldCoast Oceanfest) on the weekend closest to the summer solstice.
Croyde has also benefitted from the 'street food revolution,' being the hometown of Lola's Wings who have a pitch there, and other visiting street food trucks and trailers.
During the summer season, there is an outdoor market each Tuesday which is held in a field off Moor Lane past Ruda Holiday Park heading towards Baggy Point.

Climbing Beinn Dearg in the Beast from the East March 2018
In March of 2018 we headed to the Blair Atholl area, (south of the Cairngorms), do do some winter walking and bag a few Munro's. Little did we expect the second blast from what became known as the Beast From The East! It gave us some great and challenging conditions conditions to test our skills in.
Ben and I arrived two days before John, with the intention of climbing Ben Dearg. A remote munro above Balir Atholl. Originally we had intended to camp on its relatively flat summit, but the weather turned and the winds became inconsistent with our tents capabilities! We sheltered in the local bothy, having such luxury as a wooden bed and fire! fully expecting to fail to reach the summit, due to the weather, we headed off to try our luck. It was super windy and you'll have to watch to see if we made it!
On the way back, we had a magical encounter with a Mountain Hare. Such a special animal and it really made the trip. Its a national disgrace they are persecuted.
On day three, John arrived. We had further plans and for that adventure, please watch part two.
If you enjoyed watching, please like and subscribe. Its a real boost and helps with motivation for future projects.
Enjoy your outdoors time,
Andy
Kayak Fishing - Shoreham by Sea with Tanaka 12b outboard
Good day out at Shoreham Harbour, Gurnards and Bream were the catch of the day. At the beach at 05:00 am and beached at approximately 11:30 am. It was a good day to try my second Tanaka 12b outboard out reaching speeds of between 6-7 mph.... that means hitting the fishing spots quicker but having a bit of fun at the same time lol.

Dangerous bike stunts ▀ Crazy ▀ Bone-chilling
Dangerous bike stunts ▀ Crazy ▀ Bone-chilling
Derived directly from United States motorcycle boardtrack (motordrome) racing in the early 1900s, the very first carnival motordrome appeared at Coney Island amusement park (New York) in 1911. The following year portable tracks began to appear on traveling carnivals, and in 1915 the first silodromes with vertical walls appeared and were soon dubbed the Wall of Death. The motorcycles most widely used were the first generation Indian Scout models (pre-1928) with 37 cu. in. displacement. This carnival attraction became a staple in the United States outdoor entertainment industry with the phenomenon reaching its zenith in the 1930s, with more than 100 motordromes on traveling shows and in amusement parks.
The audience views from the top of the drum, looking down. The riders start at the bottom of the drum, in the centre, and ascend an initial ramped section until they gain enough speed to drive horizontally to the floor, usually in a counter-clockwise direction (the physical explanation behind this act is found at Banked turn and The turning car.) This act also became popular in the United Kingdom, and often is seen at fairs. In the 2000s, there remain only few touring Walls of Death. The Demon Drome, Messhams Wall of Death and the Ken Fox Troupe. These acts feature original American Indian motorcycles which have been in use since the 1920s. In the United States the premier show is the American Motor Drome Company, which uses several vintage Indian Scout Motorcycles from the 20s to give the audience a view of how these shows were done in their heyday. The Demon Drome uses the oldest wall of death still traveling and were the first to put an Austin 7 car on the wall of death since the 1950s.
A similar act called the Globe of Death has the riders looping inside a wire mesh sphere rather than a drum. This form of motorcycle entertainment had a separate and distinct evolution from carnival motordromes and derived from bicycle acts or cycle whirls in the early 1900s.
