Is this place even real?! [Sapa, Vietnam]
Sapa Vietnam is a tiny little mountainous village in the very North of Vietnam, bordering China. It's far far away from the bustling city of the side of Vietnam that everyone knows. This place is absolutely incredible!

Sapa Vietnam
Sapa is situated in a beautiful valley of Vietnam's mountainous north close to the Chinese border. Sapa is surrounded by ethnic tribe villages. I take a trek with Mimi a Black Hmong lady to her village about 14 km from Sapa. I walked slowly taking in the spectacular views on the way. When we arrived at Mimi's home her children were home from school so I declined her invitation to go in as I didn't want to intrude on the family. Mimi showed me around her village instead and told me the story of her arranged marriage.. Then Mimi got me a motor bike taxi to take me back to Sapa. A fantastic day.

Literally just walking though Sapa, Vietnam we were able to see incredible mountains, taste some delicious Vietnamese food like bun cha and pho bo, and go shopping in a Sapa market. Doing our own little Sapa tour was breathtaking and the best things to do in Sapa are quite easy to find. However, knowing what to do in Sapa, Vietnam was all overshadowed by this...

About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s YouTube Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.

???????? Ethnic tribes of Sapa (Vietnam): travel documentary
#sapa #vietnam #documentary
The mountains of North Vietnam host an incredible variety of ethnic minorities. Armed with curiosity, I ventured on a 4-day trek in these valleys.
The history of the H'mong people is difficult to trace. It is believed they lived in Southern China for over 2,000 years. Beginning of 18th century, conflict with han Chinese settlers
caused H'mong migration south, in Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. The Black H'mong represent the majority of the population in the valleys near Sa Pa. H'mong girls create sophisticated embroideries for their clothes and they can be seen sewing in the valleys.
The second largest group in Sa Pa are the Red Dao. They also arrived in North Vietnam from China about 300 years ago. Their culture is considered one of the most colourful and unique. Red Dao people maintain traditional spiritual practices that include shamanism and
ancestor veneration. Le Cap Sac is a maturity ritual for a Dao manto become a descendant of Bang Vuong - the forefather of the Dao. During my travel, I had the opportunity to watch this ritual
