Red Deer Museum & Art Gallery - Remarkable Red Deer -Stories from the Heart of the Parkland
Red Deer historian Michael Dawe provides a personal narration that highlights major aspects of MAG's $1.5 million permanent exhibit - Remarkable Red Deer: Stories from the Heart of the Parkland. Michael provides both solid historical information and fascinating anecdotes about the history of Red Deer using the exhibit's contents. This 30 minute video is a live tour of the exhibit and will be of interest to those who are unable to attend the show and for those who are simply interested in Red Deer's metamorphosis from a small farming community on the Western frontier to a prosperous and diverse urban centre.

Red Deer Museum shows off bits of local history
Valerie Miller flips the lights as she enters Red Deer Museum's vast storage space and illuminates more than 80,000 treasures from Central Alberta's past.
Dolls from the turn of the 20th century stare back, soda bottles and kettles that haven't held liquid since the Great Depression-era fill a half dozen shelves, and pianos that once played in historic Red Deer taverns sit voiceless under white sheets.

New to my channel? Hi, I'm Josh Rimer - a #gaytravel vlogger/YouTuber, and TV host/producer! I visit gay-friendly destinations with my fiance Heath and we bring you along with us on our trips to help you figure out where you might like to go too!
On Tuesdays I upload a #TravelTuesday video to show you what we experienced as a gay couple on vacation and you can see the previous ones at
On Thursdays I upload a Hotel Hangout video from our hotel room where I tell you a story, collaborate with an LGBTQ local, or play a game with my boyfriend and you can see those at
