Flying the Red Deer River - Alberta, Canada
What a great day of flying this was, over in the Badlands of Alberta with a couple flying buddies. Royal Stewart and I had been looking forward to this day for a few years....when we'd both be in the same airspace in our cubs.
We flew east from Stewart Airpark to explore the Alberta Badlands and had some fun following the glassy calm, Red Deer River.

We canoed from a campsite above Stettlar to the town of Drumheller. During our four days on the river we saw just two people.
The LAST CHANCE Saloon & ROSEDEER Hotel, Wayne, The BadLands, Alberta, Canada
This video is based on our visit, during July-2018, to the Dinosaur Valley located in the Badlands of Alberta, Canada.
In the town of Wayne is the infamous, over a century old, Last Chance Saloon and Rosedeer Hotel.
According to available information: Deep in Alberta’s Dinosaur Valley lies the town of Wayne, home to the infamous Last Chance Saloon and Rosedeer Hotel, which opened in 1913. Servicing the local mining community during the coal boom, the Last Chance Saloon became a lively and restless local site. As the population increased from the Rosedeer Coal Mine, this bar and hotel was the location of many outdoor fights, arguments, and mining skirmishes. The local newspaper clipping at the front of the bar counter, “Making a Comeback: Changing Hands But Keeping the Tradition Going,” reminds tourists venturing into the heart of Wayne that the Last Chance Saloon was witness to the changing social and cultural history of the badlands. In the 1920s, the Last Chance Saloon and Rosedeer Hotel was called “the Bucket of Blood,” due to the frequent fights occurring outside of the saloon doors.

Gone Fishing - Drone over Red Deer River - Alberta Canada
We had the fortune of visiting good friends in Red Deer - they live in a lovely place and took me for a work along the river. I took Sparky and when editing was inspired to create this song from the beauty and presence of the place.
I used a Fender Strat Guitar, Vox AC15, Marshall Delay, Polaris Reverb, EHX compressor, CLA plug ins in Ableton Live

Dinosaur Provincial Park - Alberta - Canada - Travel And Discover
Dinosaur Provincial Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located about two and a half hours drive southeast of Calgary, Alberta, Canada or 48 kilometres (30 mi), about a half hour drive, northeast of Brooks.
The park is situated in the valley of the Red Deer River, which is noted for its striking badland topography. The park is well known for being one of the richest dinosaur fossil locales in the world. Forty dinosaur species have been discovered at the park and more than 500 specimens have been removed and exhibited in museums across the globe. The renowned fossil assemblage of nearly 500 species of life, from microscopic fern spores to large carnivorous dinosaurs, justified it becoming a World Heritage Site in 1979.

EXPLORING DRUMHELLER, ALBERTA | are dinosaurs even real?
Hello friends! A couple of weeks ago we got to visit Drumheller with Travel Alberta and their newly formed creator community! I am so honoured to be part of this group of incredibly creative people and am so excited to share this video with you about our time in Drumheller.
Also a big thanks to Lizzie Pierce and Chris Hau for chatting with us about youtube, great timing for me and for just generally being awesome people to spend a weekend with.
We were able to visit the Royal Tyrell Museum where we checked out the dinosaur fossils (definitely can’t deny that dinosaurs are real), where I was mainly looking for the Albertasaurus. We checked out Red Deer River Adventures and went for a little kayak down the river, although leisurely it was still definitely a bit of a workout, I was sore the next day!
We were lucky enough to call a cute little airstream home for the weekend, provided by Wheel Estate right next to the iconic Last Chance Saloon. The Last Chance Saloon is famous for being featured in Jackie Chan’s Shanghai Noon. I am very sure the Last Chance Saloon is haunted as well, so it has quite the western vibe. The Last Chance Saloon is in a tiny town called Wayne, to get there you have to drive over 11 bridges.

Drumheller Road Trip-Aug 19 2011-Part 2
Put over 550 km on the car and stopped at Dry Island Buffalo Jump for a quick picnic, took the Bleriot Ferry across the Red Deer river, rained on at Horse Thief Canyon, accidentally put the camera on Black & white, got caught up in rush hour traffic in Drumheller, got lost saw Dinosaurs, walked the suspension bridge and saw the HooDoos. Once I stopped filming or taking pictures and just drove home..the sun came out. lol
