Lark Quarry situated 110km south west of Winton Queensland is considered to be the world's only known record of a dinosaur stampede. Consisting of approx. 150 dinosaurs leaving over 3300 footprints preserved for approx. 95 million years it is absolutely amazing!

We've taken Australian's Longest Shortcut to get across to Queensland from the Northern Territory. It's known as the Outback Way, taking us from Alice Springs through to Boulia and on to Winton. We pass through Gemtree, Harts Range, Jervois Station and Tobermorey on rough outback roads full of dust, rocks and plenty of adventure.

The Plenty Highway is 800km of partly sealed and mostly rugged corrugated outback highway which is shortcut from heart of the Red Centre through Queensland and the Alice Sprit (Northern Territory). It has shifting outback landscapes. Coming from Alice Springs after crossing short sealed section, the road quickly deteriorates to earth, bulldust, rocks and potholes.

We drove the Beast right through the guts of Australia (from Laverton to Winton) via the Great Central Road and Plenty Highway with a detour that followed the Red Centre Way from Yulara to Alice Springs, and the Plenty Highway! What an adventure indeed!!
