The #WaywoodTerritory is a #micronation, sharing boundaries with the United Kingdom. It was founded in May 2019 by a small collective of regular visitors to the #woodland, which had been apart of an #OffGrid #community #project for almost two years. Now the woodland community has claimed independence and is governing themselves, their way!
Will there be #anarchy? Will the community fall apart? Or will they successfully discover an #alternative way to do things that may just work?
From the Acorn comes the Oak, and as our seed grows, we shall reach out to other micronations and #tribes, build alliances and friendships, neighboring and world wide !
The territory has a community which is growing every day, people helping people, a system built by people for people. If you'd like to get involved see links below !
As appointed King, and self proclaimed dictating chief, i intend to #vlog the process of this growing nation and update regulary as we face the hurdles and decisions all major nations must of faced at some point. Our approach to these problems will be alternative and different. We intend to be a #selfsufficient, #lowimpact community with no compulsory tax or obligations, and always considering the future generations of our children.
The Waywood Territory is a proud supporter of #Palestine, #Taiwan and the #indegenous tribes of the world. We stand side by side with the #RedHandedWarrior society and stand against the #NorthDakota pipe line, standing firmly with the indegenous and #standingrock. We are a #pagan nation, indegenous to the rock known as England, we were here before the rise of Rome and we will be here after the fall of #Babylon.
All indegenous have a right to exist and live in #peace without fear or punishment for their beliefs, culture or customs. They have the right to #protect #water, #trees and #earth, it is our duty, obligation and responsibility to ensure our children have a future. The new world isn't working, it's corrupt and broken, it is destructive and breeds hate and fear. We are going back to the old. We choose health over wealth, we choose freedom over chains, we choose to stand against the norm and break out of the box. For all those out their suffering at the hands of greed and power, we stand with you, and we shall over come!!
We are attempting to grow our own #vegetables and #fruittrees and we already have #chickens, we use #solar and are moving toward #windturbines for #freeelectricity. We aim to be a #selfreliant community before the #shtf!
This #vlog has been made possible thanks to the kind generosity from viewers and those who support this project, much #gratitude for them!

Red House Museum
This delightful, red-brick house, built in 1660, was home to the Taylor family who were cloth merchants and manufacturers. Mary Taylor was a close friend of Charlotte Bronte. Red House still looks very much as it would have in Charlotte's day.

Bournemouth is a seaside resort on the southern coast of England. It's known for having 7 miles of beaches, Victorian architecture and buzzing nightlife in areas such as the Triangle. The resort is also home to Bournemouth Pier, an activity centre with an obstacle course, a climbing wall and a zip line. The 2-mile long Bournemouth Gardens offer rock gardens, an aviary and plant species from 3 continents.
Bournemouth is a large coastal resort town on the south coast of England directly to the east of the Jurassic Coast, a 96-mile (155 km) World Heritage Site. Bournemouth's growth really accelerated with the arrival of the railway and it became a recognised town in 1870. Historically part of Hampshire, it joined Dorset with the reorganisation of local government in 1974. Since 1997, the town has been administered by a unitary authority, giving it autonomy from Dorset County Council although it remains part of the ceremonial county. The local council is Bournemouth Borough Council.
The town centre has notable Victorian architecture and the 202-foot (62 m) spire of St Peter's Church, one of three Grade I listed churches in the borough, is a local landmark. Bournemouth's location has made it a popular destination for tourists, attracting over five million visitors annually with its beaches and popular nightlife. The town is also a regional centre of business, home of the Bournemouth International Centre or BIC, and a financial sector that is worth more than £1,000 million in Gross Value Added.
Originally an RAF airfield, Bournemouth Airport was transferred to the Civil Aviation Authority in 1944 and was the UK's only intercontinental airport before the opening of Heathrow in 1946. There are two stations in the town, Bournemouth railway station and Pokesdown railway station to the east. The principal route to the town centre is the A338 spur road, a dual carriageway that connects to the A31 close to the Hampshire border.
The town has a professional football club, AFC Bournemouth, known as the Cherries, which was promoted to the Championship in 2013 and Premier League in 2015. AFC Bournemouth play at Dean Court near Boscombe in Kings' Park, 2 miles (3 km) east of the town centre.

Angels of Eastleach and Hatherop
Angels of Eastleach and Hatherop
Love and money worked their will
And chiselled out the angels, 'til
Rows of tombstones bore them: babes
With wings about the jowls, the graves
Long levelled, their inscriptions buried
Under layers of loam. No one bothered
To excavate them after a century or so,
And then they suffered the moss to grow,
And lichens blighted cheek and chin.
Wet green ringlets began to spin
Their way downwards, past an ear;
Even the hourglass was bleared
With growth. The sloth and sloughing
Of nature's ages was setting in.
An eye closed. A mouth began to grin.
Love and money worked their will,
And smoothed the alabaster, 'til
The breast seemed set to twitch, and breathe
Beneath the linen. Lace at her sleeve,
The bangle round her wrist, the way
The bodice puckered, and the play
Of glass-light on her rosary -- the art
Of Raffaele -- all suggesting that her heart
Might beat again. Did her husband weep
Over hands folded as if in sleep?
Was it his trembling finger laced
The tasselled cord about her waist
And wept? The angels shuffled, crept
Onto their pedestals. He closed the door,
And a wing smashed upon the floor.
Poem by Giles Watson, 2011. The churchyard at Eastleach is full of old gravestones, nearly all of which are carved with cherubic angels. Many no longer mark their graves, but are leaned against the church, and against the churchyard wall. Some are half-buried, and nearly all are covered with beautiful forests of moss and lichen. Only a couple of miles away is the parish church of Hatherop, now attached to a school. The side-chapel contains the sensationally dramatic, beautiful and expensive tomb of Barbara de Mauley (1848), sculpted by Raffaelle Monti. Already, the right wing of the angel at Barbara's feet has been broken, and at the time of writing, is lying in two pieces on the floor beneath the sculpture.

Ferrymead Heritage Park 2018
ferrymead.org.nz
Ferrymead owes its importance in history to the hills dividing Christchurch from the port of Lyttelton. Pioneers transported their goods over the steep Bridle Path from Lyttelton to Heathcote, where punts were used to cross the river into early Christchurch. Later traffic came by sea up the estuary. In 1863, the first railway in New Zealand was opened, running from Ferrymead into central Christchurch. This railway line was the inspiration for Ferrymead Heritage Park and the restored railway line follows part of the route today.
Ferrymead Park features an early 1900s (Edwardian) township and the park has a variety of restored cottages plus a school house, church and businesses which reflect the period and allow visitors to experience life for the early residents of Christchurch including the smell of a coal range and the sounds of a tram rattling past the door.
There are a large array of heritage exhibitions and displays that are open for viewing, particularly on Sundays. These displays are owned and operated by individual societies and manned by their volunteers. They have restored and displayed their collections for you to enjoy and these include tractors, fire engines, aeroplanes, trams, trains, cars, printing, post and telegraph, model railway, photography and much much more. If you are interested in a particular society's display, please contact the society in advance of your visit, to ensure that volunteers will be on site.
Trams run on weekends and throughout the School Holidays.
Tram rides are not included in the admission price but can still be purchased at a small fee.
Steam trains run on the second Sunday of the month and you can enjoy unlimited rides along the route as part of your entry fee.

Bournemouth .With seven miles of golden sands and sparkling sea, the vibrant cosmopolitan town of Bournemouth has it all - a vast variety of shops, restaurants and holiday accommodation, buzzing nightlife and endless countryside with beautiful award winning gardens and water sports galore. Bournemouth is a large coastal resort town in the ceremonial county of Dorset, England. According to the mid-year estimates for 2010 from the Office for National Statistics the town has a population of 168,100, making it the largest settlement in Dorset. It is also the largest settlement between Southampton and Plymouth. With Poole and Christchurch, Bournemouth forms the South East Dorset conurbation, which has a total population of about 400,000.
Imax ~ built in 1998, Bournemouth Borough Council bought the waterfront building from long leaseholders Nilgosc for about £7 million in 2010. It will cost another £2 million to have it demolished. The authority had hoped to keep the structure, but to lower it by 25ft ( 8 mtr ) and turn it into an all-weather leisure centre or cultural attraction. John Beesley, leader of Bournemouth council, said demolition work would not begin until after the holiday season and it was hoped the work would be finished by summer 2013. The building opened as an Imax cinema in 2002 despite protests from residents against the plans. The building was demolished in 2013.

Although Bournemouth is on the coast, the centre of the town lies inland - the commercial and civil heart of the town being the Square. From the Square the Upper and Lower Pleasure Gardens descend to the seafront and the pier. Areas within Bournemouth include Bear Cross, Boscombe, Kinson, Pokesdown, Westbourne and Winton. Traditionally a large retirement town, Bournemouth (mostly the Northbourne, Southbourne and Tuckton areas of Bournemouth together with the Wallisdown, and Talbot Village areas of Poole) has seen massive growth in recent years, especially through the growth of students attending Bournemouth University and the large number of language schools teaching English as a foreign language.
Bournemouth is located directly to the east of the Jurassic Coast, a 95-mile ( 153 km ) section of beautiful and largely un spoilt coastline recently designated a World Heritage Site. Apart from the beauty of much of the coastline, the Jurassic Coast provides a complete geological record of the Jurassic period and a rich fossil record. Bournemouth sea front overlooks Poole Bay and the Isle of Wight. Bournemouth also has seven miles ( 11 km ) of sandy beaches that run from Hengistbury Head in the east to Sandbanks, in Poole, in the west.

Bournemouth also has seven miles ( 11 km ) of sandy beaches that run from Hengistbury Head in the east to Sandbanks, in Poole, in the west.
Because of the coastal processes that operate in Poole Bay, the area is often used for surfing. An artificial reef was expected to be installed at Boscombe, in Bournemouth, by October 2008, using large sand-filled geotextile bags. However, this deadline was not met, and the construction was actually finished at the end of October 2009. The Boscombe Reef was constructed as part of the larger Boscombe Spa Village development. Bournemouth also has several chines ( e.g., Alum Chine ) that lead down to the beaches and form a very attractive feature of the area.
The Dorset and Hampshire region surrounding Bournemouth has been the site of human settlement for thousands of years. However, in 1800 the Bournemouth area was largely a remote and barren heathland. No one lived at the mouth of the Bourne River and the only regular visitors were a few fishermen, turf cutters and gangs of smugglers until the 16th century. During the Tudor period the area was used as a hunting estate, Stourfield Chase, but by the late 18th century only a few small parts of it were maintained, including several fields around the Bourne Stream and a cottage known as Decoy Pond House, which stood near where the Square is today.
Future Memory Pavilion
Video courtesy of Key Anderson, Arup Lighting
In support of young and upcoming designers, Arup worked with two UK architects, Pernilla Ohrstedt and Asif Khan, to build a 'Future Memory Pavilion'. The project was commissioned by The British Council, in partnership with the Royal Academy of Arts (London), and the Preservation of Monuments Board (Singapore).
The temporary structure comprises two 8m-tall monumental cones, created by ropes placed at different intervals. Two commonplace materials, ice and sand, are placed separately in each cone. These serve to act as triggers which evoke Singapore's historic and contemporary attitude to climate and land culture. As one cone fills, the other empties, creating an inside space and experience which changes over the lifespan of the pavilion. The pavilion has also received support from the Urban Redevelopment Authority, making it an example of architecture and urban design excellence in Singapore. Arup contributed to the structural, facade and fire engineering, lighting design and environmental aspects of the project, which also involved carrying out extensive research into how ice and sand mutate in the space and overtime.
The pavilion, one of the fringe events of the annual archifest event in Singapore, currently sits at the lawn of the National Museum of Singapore.
So do check it out before it gets taken down on 19 November 2011 !
