REDSEA Gallery presents Flower Field and Landscapes by Zhuang Hong Yi
A solo exhibition by Chinese-Dutch artist Zhuang Hong Yi exploring his popular flower bed creations, meticulously crafted from pieces of painted rice paper, bent and folded into tiny buds. For the first time in Singapore, a selection of sculptural pieces from his five elements series can also be seen, together with a body of new mixed media works, further exploring the realms of his trademark flower oeuvre. Combining his Chinese background with a Western aesthetic, Zhuang's works bear the influence of his past as well as his present, a harmonious and captivating combination of two very different but complimentary worlds.

LIOW VIDEO: Visit fish farm, bought a albino turtle 骑电动滑板车上鱼店
Yesterday after I bought my wild Oscar fish and uploaded my last fish video, I decided to stop visiting the fish farm and focus on my other hobbies. However, I was touched by my YOUTUBE friends who wanted me to make more fish videos. Today 10 Sept 2017, I accompanied my friend to find his dream fish. We visited two farms located at Pasir Ris Farmway and he finally bought a albino turtle. I took this opportunity to make one more video specially for my YT friends.

Sea Urchins Over Spaghetti
Don't step on Sea Urchins - EAT THEM! In this Britican's Galley *Special* you'll see our friend, Admiral Stefano, go on a search for Sea Urchins off the tiny island of N. Kastos in the Greek Ionian Sea. After gathering many urchins, Stefano shows how to open them, clean then and scoop out the edible part of the creature. After demonstrating the cleaning process a couple times, Stefano then cooks up spaghetti with some olive oil and garlic...and pours the sea urchins over the top. After trying the urchin mush myself, I thought it was okay...but once it was mixed in with the spaghetti I really enjoyed the meal. Apparently, in Italy it's a very sought after dish :) Watch the video to see my husbands reaction to the 'taste-test' - it's not as positive as mine :) Get more recipes on

For freshwater community tanks, there are large numbers of species that make successful community fishes. Most of the livebearers, barbs, tetras, rasboras, danios, and rainbowfishes are peaceful, though a few species are fin nippers, most notably tiger barbs and serpae tetras. Angelfishes, gouramis, and Corydoras catfishes are also popular, though angelfish are predatory and will eat very small fish such as neon tetras and livebearer fry. If neon tetras are kept around fish unlikely to take advantage of their small size, they are very peaceful towards other fish.
Community aquaria are tanks that are designed to contain more than one species of fish. Most commonly they include a variety of species that do not normally occur together in nature, for example angelfish from Brazil, swordtails from Mexico, and gouramis from South East Asia. The aim of such communities is to bring together fish that are compatible in temperament and water requirements, while using their different colours and behaviours to add interest and entertainment value.
Though not usually called community tanks, most marine aquaria fit into this category too, using fish from places as diverse as the Caribbean, Red Sea, and western Pacific Ocean.
Other aquarists prefer communities, called biotopes, that represent particular geographic locations, and combine fish with appropriate decorative materials including endogenous rocks and plants. The most popular of these geographically correct community tanks are those replicating the cichlid habitat of the East African Rift lakes of Lake Tanganyika and Lake Malawi.

Milestone 10: Red Sea — Aboard the MV Abuyasser II, Red Sea
The captain was talking to a sailor friend on ship-to-ship. Through the rasp of the radio they gossiped. The conversation lasted about 30 minutes before the signal grew weak. We were headed north to Jeddah. The friend was bound south for Singapore. They caught up whenever they could, in the narrows, in the Red Sea. They hadn’t seen each other in years.
