Because parents are people too I decided to go and have a fun trip just for ME! I have always been fascinated with sharks and I see the beauty in them. I watched an amazing documentary called Sharkwater and ever since then I've wanted to swim with sharks.
I recently went on a trip to Freeport Bahamas and had the chance to dive with sharks. The people are Reef Oasis Dive Club ( could not have been nicer and more professional. I was completely comfortable going on this dive.
I must admit, when I jumped in the water I was SO nervous. I could see the sharks already swimming below me. When I got to the ocean floor and was positioned I had to take a few moments to collect my breath. Once I calmed down I was able to just watch and enjoy the sharks. They really had no interest in me. At one point one even bumped into my camera. They acted more like puppies coming in to get a pet. They are really beautiful and I'm so glad I took this opportunity to get up close and personal!
A big thanks to GoPro for the amazing Hero 4 camera that captured all this amazing footage!

I went on this amazing shark dive experience and I'm so happy I did. I was SO nervous going - and I went on my own - I didn't have a friend to go with me. The staff at Reef Oasis could not have been nicer. They made me feel very comfortable and safe.
I did have a moment of panic when I first jumped into the water and saw the sharks swimming below. I was grateful to have the rope to hold on to as I descended. Once I got to the ocean floor and saw the sharks up close I calmed right down. They couldn't care less about me. They looked like little puppies. It was amazing! I highly recommend this experience. And if you don't dive you can also go on this same trip as a snorkeler. They shark diver brings a snark up to the snorkelers for them to see it. Amazing!
Scuba Diving wirh Sharks in Freeport Bahama
This was a dive we did in Freeport Bahama with Sunn Odyssey Divers where we saw lots of shark. Very cool dive. The shark were very inquisitive. This was shot with a GoPro 3+ Black with a red filter.
I do not own the music or have any right to it.

DEEP BLUE Ocean Scuba Diving
The Bahamas are an archipelago of 700 islands situated where the Western Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. These amazingly clear waters feature more dive environments than you’re likely to see in one trip. The third largest barrier reef is found offshore. There’s also deep walls, fascinating wrecks, blue holes, tunnels, caverns and some of the best shark diving in the world. Plus, he subtropical climate provides approximately 340 sunny days each year and the dive conditions are impressive year-round.
Each island dive destination has its signature experiences. The waters off New Providence, where Nassau is the main city, provide drop-offs that are close to shore, blue holes, caves, historical wrecks and thrilling shark diving.
Diving off Grand Bahama Island gives you the chance to see dolphins and visit several shallow wrecks.
On Long Island, you can dive the world’s deepest blue hole, find great reefs, visit wrecks and look over walls that drop into the deep blue.
Directly exposed to the Atlantic, the pristine reefs of the Abacos are slightly different from much of the Bahamas with many relatively shallow dive sites – 18 meters/60 feet or less.
Andros has wrecks, blue holes and spectacular wall dives off the “Tongue of the Ocean.”
The warm waters of Bimini are filled with an incredible diversity of sea life, while Eleuthera and Harbor Island offer a rip-roaring drift dive.
The Exumas have an intriguing combination of beautiful walls and rich shallow reefs, and San Salvador boasts vertical walls, underwater caverns and many wrecks.
Most importantly, however, all the islands have a laid back vibe and gorgeous, white and pink beaches to relax on after diving.

Excellent diving facility and diving sites. Shark diving is a must, especially Tiger and Lemon shark excursion. Great dive masters and the entire team. Thank you all for the outstanding experience and cheers to the divers that I dove with.
Additionally you’ll get excellent macros, wide angle shots with various marine life. All pictures were taken with Olympus TG-3 in the housing with two Olympus strobes, spot light with additional Epoque wide lens.
