A museum off Pasir Panjang Road, it is about the war of Singapore fought by 1st Malay Regiment with the Japanese during WW2. The 2 outstanding and heroic Malay officers are well described here. With many video footage and dialogues and weapon displays of the regiment, it will excite visitors interested in WW2 history. Admission is free, everyone is welcomed, just no flash photography.

The Battle of Bukit Chandu, Singapore - 14 Feb 1942
This short movie depicts the fiercest battle today in 1942, between the Japanese occupying troops and soldiers of the 1st Malay Brigade at Pasir Panjang. The Malay Brigade was commanded by the brave Lieutenant Adnan bin Saidi who fought along his men to defend Singapore’s last stand to their grisly deaths on the 14th Feb 1942.
And to all my heroic friends than put up this video...thank you. Their time in contributing ideas and advice in producing this video is deemed heroic….heroic in remembering the sacrifices of Lieutenant Adnan, and all those brave men that have defended Singapore with their lives.

Singapore World War II historical site. It was a fight to the death by Lt Adnan Saidi and his 42-strong platoon, defending Pasir Panjang Hill to the end.
Uncover one of Singapore’s most fascinating tales of heroism during World War II at Reflections at Bukit Chandu.
Sitting amid lush jungle, you’ll find this heritage centre in a restored black-and-white colonial bungalow.
It is just a stone’s throw away from the Battle of Pasir Panjang site, where 1,400 brave soldiers from the Malay Regiment valiantly defended the last stand against a 13,000-strong Japanese army.
Also known as Bukit Chandu (Malay for Opium Hill), this site saw intense fighting on 14 February 1942, during the Battle of Singapore.
Led by Lieutenant Adnan Saidi, men of the C Company of the 1st Malay Brigade held their ground despite being heavily outnumbered, and fought to their grisly deaths.
The only Malay Regiment surviving witness was Corporal Yaako, who pretended to be dead so the Japanese soldiers wouldn’t kill him.
For his bravery, Adnan was recognised posthumously by the British government and his heroic contingent is remembered for defending Singapore.Take your time exploring the centre and its leafy grounds.
Historical artefacts and interactive exhibits weave an intriguing tale of the courage of the 1st Malay Regiment and Singapore’s war experience.

In memory of Lta Adnan bin Saidi, (1915 – 14 February 1942) and his 1st Infantry Brigade which fought the Japanese in the Battle of Singapore.
In his passing, Adnan's undying valour exemplified his strong belief in the Malay motto: Biar putih tulang, jangan putih mata - Death before Dishonour.

war - the world has many opinions on any war. but some straight facts have to be recorded down so the culprits, no matter how they try to twist and turn to justify their actions are still bound by these facts. japan's greed in starting the war against the asia people and its criminal acts have been etched into stones, which no matter what whitewash they try to apply to their history books and thru their propaganda machine, would not change a bit on their culpability of the atrocities and agonies they brought to the people of the world. unless all people are under the influence of chandu - the opium that was popularised by the raiders of the far-east. but not if you visited bukit chandu.

The fall of Pasir Panjang, NE tour Reflections at Bukit Chandu
Fort Pasir Panjang, or Labrador Battery, located at the southern tip of Singapore island, served as a key British coastal fort during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The Fort defended the western passageway into Keppel Harbor against pirates and rival naval powers. During the 1942 Battle of Pasir Panjang, the British used the fort to support the Malay Regiments against the Japanese at Bukit Chandu. In 1995, the Singapore National Heritage Board recognized the site as one of the eleven notable World War II sites in Singapore
