Regina residents rally to Save Sask Libraries
The latest Saskatchewan budget eliminated provincial funding for public libraries in Regina and Saskatoon and cut funding for regional libraries in half, or by $3.5 million. This past Saturday close around 150 people came out for a rally in support of Saskatchewan libraries in downtown Regina. To learn more and take action, please visit savesasklibraries.ca.
Regina Public Library joins Province-wide Library Consortium (February 2, 2010)
News story from CTV-Regina on the day that Regina Public Library went live as part of the Saskatchewan Library & Information Services (SILS) consortium. With ten members library systems covering the entire province and hundreds of individual branches, this will be the largest library consortium of its kind in the world once every system is active, later in 2010.

Paranoia. Winner Regina public Library 48hr film making challenge.
This is about the story of Paul George, an immigrant in Canada, who is suffering from Schizophrenia. He thinks he is recovered from Schizophrenia but still hears sounds with no body. One day his best friend, John made a visit upon his request and convince him to stay in the same city where he is, when Paul reveals his plan to move to a big city.
Later we find out that John is actually dead a month ago, Paul made the whole conversation out of his Schizophrenia.
Rules for the Challenge:In a 48 hour film making challenge, a short film has to be made within 48 hours. A mandatory line, prop and sound has to be included so as to make sure that the film is made within the timeframe given.

Raiza and her husband needed help immigrating to Canada. That’s where RPL came into the story.
