Looking for a tour in Israel? Which to TAKE and which to AVOID (2019)
Taking a tour in Israel, whether a day tour or a tour running over multiple days, is a great way to understand the rich history of Israel.
In this vidoe I talk about all the different tours on offer:
what you can expect, what you should avoid, and which companies are out there – from budget to luxury.
Tour companies
I’m going to divide the tours into three:
The cheap options, which I really like
The mid-range, which are very common but which I don’t like
The high end, meaning private guides, which is the best option if you can afford it.

ISRAEL First Impressions (one day in Tel Aviv)
Our first day in Tel Aviv was a beautiful one! We spent the day exploring the Levinksy Market, the Carmel Market, and the Jaffa Market in the old city. Then we had the best hummus in the world for lunch!! Followed by a gorgeous sunset on the beach. We ended the night with our first Shabbat dinner with new friends! This was our first time experiencing the Jewish Sabbath in another country, and it was a really special night. Thank you again Aaron for having us :)

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Landing in Ben Gurion (TLV) airport? Essential info from a professional tour guide
THINGS HAVE CHANGED! CHECK THE UPDATED POST -
Landing in Ben Gurion (TLV) Airport? Then this video is for you.
All you need to know about security and transportation, as well as a few little tips.
The airport will probably be the first and last site that you visit in Israel.
There are a few things that can make your landing softer and cheaper.
Although the airport is called TLV, it is actually in the middle of Israel, so you can go on from there to Jerusalem, or even the desert or Galilee.
Your passport will not be stamped.
From Friday afternoon until Saturday night there are no buses or trains, so you'll need to take a taxi or hire a car.
If you take the train to Tel Aviv DO NOT get off at the first station in Tel Aviv (HaHagana); it is the poorest area in the city and has no hotels or hostels.
Haleluyah, the train to Jerusalem is now open and runnning!!!

Dead Sea road trip from Tel Aviv, THE LOWEST POINT ON EARTH!! Israel ???????? | Travel vlog
Tel Aviv ➡️ The Dead Sea --Me and a couple friends took a road-trip to the Dead Sea from Tel Aviv, in Israel. The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth at 430.5m (1,410ft) below sea level. The salinity is about 34%, so you don't want to swallow the water or get any in your eyes as it can do damage. It's also very fun to swim in due to completely floating. We also hiked David Falls which is an oasis in a town called Ein Gedi along the Dead Sea. If you've never seen an oasis in the desert, it's a very cool sight as you'll see in the video! The Dead Sea water was like a hot-tub and it's a bit painful walking on salt rocks, so wear some sandals/shoes if you have them, I did not. ????
It was still Shabbat so renting the car that morning took a few hours due to the local branch being closed and having to get to the airport ????. Also I say in Israel because we had to strictly stay on Israeli roads due to our rental car policies. The quickest route is actually through Palestine, but if you're unaware there has been a longstanding confrontation between the two over territory.
Overall it's always fun renting a car in a foreign country and taking a road trip, and the roads are mostly desert which is also fun to drive through, and it was an awesome day. We wish we had more day light and energy to see a few more things along the Dead Sea, but the experience was one of a kind, I suggest you go see it with your own eyes one day, it is the lowest point on earth after all!
Thanks for watching as always! If you like my adventures, you can subscribe and I'll have many more for you to watch! Thanks ✌????✌????
Calauto Review - Israel Road Trip from Tel Aviv to Eilat via the Golan Heights
I rented a car from Calauto, an Israeli rental company for two weeks for my road trip in Israel. The car cost less than £19/day and came with third party insurance which is compulsory in Israel.
Many rental companies don't provide this as standard, so make sure you check your documentation before making a final reservation. I also booked a special insurance with Worldwide Insurance ( which reduced my excess liability to zero.

Where to Stay in Israel? The 2019 Guide to Hotels & Hostels in Israel
The Best Hotels, Hostels & Special Accommodation in Israel
Booking a hotel or hostel has never been so easy, but I decided do vidoe because there are some important things you need to know about getting a roof over your head in Israel:
* One of the biggest expenses when traveling is accommodation, and this is particularly true of Israel. Many travelers complain that they would have expected more for the price they paid. This is why I’ve added a budget option in each area: these are hostels and chans, many of which also offer private rooms.
* When you sleep outside the cities, in the Negev or the Galilee, I recommend that you go for a different kind of accommodation, such as chavot bodedim, which means “lonesome farms”, or airuach kibbutzi, which involves sleeping in hotels in kibbutzim.
* There is no such thing as THE BEST hotel. It is all about what is right for you and a random recommendation won’t give you the information you need.
I’m not just talking about the budget. Let's say you’re looking for a hotel in Tel Aviv. What is important to you? Do you want to be able to see the sea from your room and be located right on the promenade? Do you like markets and want to be a stone’s throw from the flea market? Or do you see Tel Aviv as a base for other tours and prefer to be close to Ayalon (the main highway that runs through Tel Aviv)?
* At the end of the day, you spend quite a lot of time in your accommodation, and you almost always eat there, so it should be good.
