This was my first experience
Kampala, Entebbe, Reptile Village, Murchison Falls and Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda, 2016
A report on our travels in Uganda. We started out with a walking tour of Kampala. I highly recommend this 3 or 6 hour walk which is lead by Zulaika -
In Murchison Falls National Park is located on east and west sides of the Nile river. On the east side it's a rain forest and on the west it's more of a savanna. While at the Murchison Falls we saw a variety of wild animals. Hippos, crocodiles, baboons, elephants, jumping monkeys, monitor lizards and various bugs.
After the falls we returned to Kampala. After a day we took a Post Office bus to Kabale in the south west of Uganda. From Kabale we went to a crater Lake Bunyonyi that is over one mile above see level. The depth of the lake reaches 900 meters (over 2700 feet). Locals who live around the lake get around by canoes that are extremely hard to maneuver. People were very friendly and kids never missed an opportunity to practice their English.
We returned to Kampala and immediately left for Entebbe. We stopped by the Botanical Gardens where the original black and white Tarzan was filmed. In the morning on the day of our flights we visited the Reptile Village. Monitor lizards, crocodiles and chameleons were within reach.
Some of the things we didn't do was mountain and silver back gorilla tracking and chimpanzee tracking.
Overall, Uganda made a great impression on both of us. I highly recommend visiting this amazing country. We are definitely planing to return.
REPTILE VILLAGE YOUTUBE
We, at Uganda Reptile Village, have a true passion for snakes and reptile in general. We created years ago this project in the village of Bunono, close to Entebbe, Uganda, where we collect snakes and other reptile which are in danger. People normally call us when they find these animals inside their houses or properties; this is due to the continuous reduction of their habitat. Therefore we are also very engaged in the education of local communities and schools in order to explain to people how to co-exist with these animals, so that we don't destroy the balance of nature.

Check out these pictures from my stay at The Banana Village, Entebbe Uganda. This is a wonderful, quiet place to stay during your visit to Uganda- Located near to the Entebbe Airport you will enjoy watching the monkeys play as you sip a cup of African Tea (Chai Tea).
Ask about swimming and horseback riding too!
Uganda Reptile Village
The Ugandan Reptile Village is a new sanctuary for injured or rescued reptiles in Entebbe, Uganda.
The village is home to snakes, chameleons and monitor lizards.
The sanctuary has been set up by Kazibwe Yasin who began handling snakes as a street kid in Uganda. His passion for snakes has provided the motivation to set-up the new conservation project.
Kazibwe houses reptiles that are rescued from nearby villages. He then uses the reptiles to help educate children and adults across Uganda.
He hopes the project will help educate future generations about the importance of snakes and other reptiles in the environment.
The village is home to a variety of snakes including vipers, cobras, green mambas and pythons.

KAZIBWE - IN LOVE WITH SNAKES.
Uganda Live TV brings to you a 32 year old Yassin Kazibwe, Kazibwe has the passion that the average Ugandan would find quite strange.
Unlike most men of his age, Kazibwe’s passion is not for soccer, music or women. Rather love for something the rest of us would rather avoid, the Snakes.
Reptiles are among the most endangered creatures in Uganda.
Today Kazibwe boasts of having rescued over 39 species of snakes from hostile environment
Besides snakes, houses a wide range of reptiles species rescued from danger. These range from Tortoises, chameleons, and monitor lizards to Crocodiles. For more in insightful content visit ugandalivetv.net ‘’source of smile’’
