Daryl Shawn grew up among Amish farms in rural Pennsylvania, studied classical and flamenco guitar in between jazz classes at Berklee College of Music, hitchhiked to San Francisco and formed Maxwell Horse, a trio which was soon opening shows for the likes of Brendan Benson and Rocket from the Crypt. After four releases and a number of successful tours, he split up the band and left the United States for the remote Mexican city of Oaxaca, where he spent five years writing solo instrumental and vocal songs and building his own approach to the classical guitar outside the influences of any scene. Leaving Mexico in 2009, he spent several years with no fixed address before settling in Brooklyn, New York and finally Pittsburgh, PA. Keep up with him here:

Finding Steve McQueen is a 2019 American heist thriller film directed by Mark Steven Johnson and written by Ken Hixon and Keith Sharon. The film stars Travis Fimmel, Rachael Taylor, Forest Whitaker, and William Fichtner, telling the story of a gang planning to steal millions of dollars from President Nixon's illegal political slush fund. It was released in the United States on March 15, 2019, by Momentum Pictures. The film is based on the United California Bank robbery.
Plot:
In 1980, Harry James Barber tells his story about the California bank robbery he committed eight years ago to his girlfriend Molly Murphy, whose relationship is at strain after discovering his secret.
In 1972, Harry lives next to a refurbished theater house in Pennsylvania and is a big fan of actor Steve McQueen. Harry had agreed to the plan led by the handler Enzo Rotella of robbing the bank supposedly containing the illegal slush fund of President Richard Nixon. The team is being joined by Paul Callahan, Raymond Darrow, and Harry's brother Tommy Barber - a Vietnam War veteran.
The gang travels to California and rents a vacation house not far away from the bank. Few days before the robbery, Harry meets the widow Molly Murphy at the bar, whose husband was killed in a vehicular accident. Harry and Molly happily developed their relationship, but he hides his secret about his scheme from Molly throughout the relationship. At night, the gang infiltrates the bank and disabling the alarm system. After three days of burglary, they successfully looted $12 million overall; however, Harry receives only a share of $10,000.

Is it lust or is it love? | Terri Orbuch | TEDxOaklandUniversity
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. We’ve all been dizzy with desire at the beginning of a new relationship. But ask anyone to label that urgent longing and yearning, and you’ll get as many different responses as you will people. How do you know whether the passion and butterflies in your stomach are signs of romantic love or simply lust? Dr. Terri Orbuch will discuss signals to distinguish between lust and love, and how to reignite that lustful desire in loving long-term relationships.
Dr. Terri Orbuch (aka, The Love Doctor®) is a professor of sociology at Oakland University (Rochester, Michigan) and a research professor at the Institute for Social Research at University of Michigan. Participant Engagement and Health Equity Workshop - July 1-2, 2015 - Day 1
On July 1-2, the Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI) Working Group of the Advisory Committee to the NIH Director (ACD) held a public workshop on participant engagement and health equity as they relate to the proposed PMI national research cohort. The workshop focused on the design of an inclusive cohort, building and sustaining public trust, direct-from-participant data provision, and effective and active participant engagement characteristics of a national research cohort of one million or more volunteers.
The workshop built on the big science questions developed during the April 28–29 workshop at the NIH, digital health data perspectives shared during the May 28-29 workshop, and information on the strategies to address community engagement and health disparities in a large national research cohort gathered from stakeholders through a request for information. The workshop took place on the National Institutes of Health campus in Bethesda, Maryland, and was videocast.
A full list of workshops being convened by the ACD PMI Working Group is available on the Events page of the NIH PMI website.
